Better though we were, pompey were absolute ****e, no wonder they are bottom. I can't believe we lost to them at their place>

As for Gerrard's elbow, about time someone smacked that ****** Brown, deserves it in my opinion.
I make no apologies, this is me

The attacking confidence was great to see and also how well we actually played as a unit.

A win against Lille and a result on Sunday will turn our season right around.

Great to see form coming back for Torres, Johnson and Aquilani.

Aquilani was still drifting and not demanding the ball but some of his mid- to long- range passing was excellent.

            **** yeah.

Mind you that horrible cunt Brown had been trying to do him all evening, he had it coming.

Very stupid from the skipper though, with such a monumental game coming up on Sunday.

He's still got it all to prove against teams who get in his face - he had so much time and space tonight - but that was a huge improvement. His pass to Torres for the 4th goal was class.

Under Rafa's Liverpool there's a chance he might not make the bench.

Good result. Played good football. Aquilani was excellent and good to see Torres with his shooting boots back on. Babel also did very well.

On a possible down side, Gerrard will probably get a ban seeing as we play Manure on Sunday and apparently Mascha was limping at the end.

It may even come down to goal difference at this rate, which makes them four tonight very important.

It was nice to see Kelly on field, was this his Premier debut? Same team against United would be nice, indeed, as they are pissed always when someone is attacking them.

Still, we would have to be lucky imo for us to get that.

I hope am i proved wrong i really do, but i cant see us getting 4th spot.

Best performance since the 6-0 win against Hull.

Aquilani was the best player in the park by a distance, and it was far and away Maxi's best game for us. Glad to see Babel continue his run of good form, and - as for Torres - good to see him looking back to his usual self.

Would've been spewing if I were him though, getting hooked when on a hat-trick... though he tired out towards the end.

Good to see Kelly get a run out and shame that Pacheco is on international duty as it'd have been a good match to give him a run out.

Obviously Maxi can't play on Thursday but I'd like to see everyone who started today line-up against Lille.

We were good. They were ****ing woeful.

Yossi in for Maxi, but other than that the same team for Lille.

Worry about the United game afterwards...

Maxi was really good tonight, the team should be unchanged.

                                Edit - ...forgot he's ineligible.
