I do think he's a genuine target of ours by the way too.

The main reason is his stats are terrific: most assists from fullback, and he played every single game this season.

Those type of stats put you on Commoli's radar IMO.

Without a doubt, i would take Baines. But unless the administrators were knocking at Goodison, i couldnt see them selling to us.

Was Barmby as highly rated as Baines is now? Cant remember. But he pushed it through as well didnt he? If Baines does that, then maybe.

Never actually realised he was a Red, had it in my mind that he was a Bluenose. Nice to know he's one of us.

Would be a really good signing, in fairness. If he can defend (and he maybe can, but i'm a bit unsure) then he'd go on to become the best LB in the league, and he's not far off that already.

Does anyone know how long he has left on his contract? If we can grab him for £10m then it'd be worth it. He never gets injured so we could afford to pay a little extra and keep Aurelio as cover.
