torres didn't look exhausted to me, he was bemused as the rest of us. how about this for a tactical move by rafa - put on a strike partner for nando take some of the physical pressure off him and maybe just maybe he'll be able to find that little bit of energy and finish off the chances like he had at benfica, and maybe be able to create a bit more space for himself to get into better positions than against brum.

but hey what do i know

Clearly more than Rafa about Torres physical condition.

His confidence would have been shot by the time he was on the pitch and if it was in different circumstances we might have won 3-1
I'm sure that N'gog's confidence is just fine, he's understudy to the best striker in the world.

So would you rather he started instead of Torres or not be brought on at all?

idk i guess i wasnt suggesting whether ngog should play or not.. just pointing out that rafa needs to be aware of how he subs on these youngsters because he can ruin a career with a few incorrect subs

Ngog was rusty, when was the last time he played for any significant amount of time? he should be with reserves keeping fit and banging the goals in so that when he's called for he's not working off the rust on the pitch.

But it's a poor state of affairs when you have to bring an inexperienced kid on, that is down to Rafa for buying dross like Voronin and then shipping out Keane and not buying a proper replacement.
            Dontcha mean Amoo?
