Leave poor Craig alone. He argues well, utilising all the facts at his disposal. He is happy to see someone elses point of view, and will admit when he is wrong and is one of the few posters on here who does not continuously bombard threads with the same tired comments over and over again, but instead sticks to the subject matter at hand. And unlike other posters he has no hidden agendas against the manager of the club.

You guys need to leave the poor fella alone.

Juventus Meet Agent Of Liverpool Coach Rafael Benitez - Report

The Bianconeri have begun the first contacts with Benitez's entourage...
                By Salvatore Landolina

Juventus president Jean-Claude Blanc has met Rafael Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon to discuss the Liverpool coach's availability, according to Tuttosport.

The two men spoke about his future during a day-long meeting in Milan. And the main agenda related around Benitez's option to rescind his contract with Liverpool by paying a €16 million clause.

Quilon and Blanc also spoke about Benitez's plans and set out a policy to discuss future transfer objectives. He likes Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko and would likely bring him and Fernando Torres to Turin.

Furthermore, Juve patron John Elkann wants the best for his club, and he is ready to provide extra transfer allowances to accomodate Benitez's arrival. He has promised a cash injection to ensure both Juve and Benitez get the best deal.

Reports have previously suggested that Juventus are not in a financial straitjacket, and they have around €80m to spend following a new sponsorship deal.

The club are also prepared to pay the Spaniard €4m per annum plus success-related bonuses.

Isn't this more or less the exact same story that went around in January (mildly updated)?

Agent cools fresh Juventus talk for Liverpool boss Benitez
                    14.04.10 | tribalfootball.com

The agent of Rafa Benitez has moved to cool morning press reports of talks with Juventus for the Liverpool manager.

Manuel Garcia Quilon was reported to have been in Milan yesterday for talks with Juve officials about Benitez, who has also been linked with Real Madrid.

But Quilon told calciomercato.it: "I never met anyone from Juventus, I was here in Madrid (home of his Agency). I repeat that Benitez has a four-year contract with Liverpool, which in principle means he will remain there.

"(But) for the next months, I do not know what will happen."

Juve would never be able to afford torres and i doubt he will ever go to the grave yard that is Italian football.

I'm not sure that I'd trust Rafa to get us value for money with £60€..

I think he does well with outright quality buys in Torres and Masch but struggles with the lower echelon and it already appears that words have been exchanged with Edward Macia.

                        Dossena, Pennant, Voronin, Riera, Degen..
That's a lot of wasted money right there whether it's just in wages or fees.

                        Like has already been said..

I think it has a lot more to do with tactical decisions from Rafa and playing players out of position more than anything else.

Why can so many thousands of fans see BASIC things, that the manager can't?

Same arguments that most people put forward at the end of Houllier's reign.

As for you second statement, well, it says everything no? Maybe some fans are blinded by their frustration? Thousand of fans makes a very tiny minority.

Thousands of fans can see it..thousands of fans can't see it...that's football, we all see different things when we watch a game, or see an incident, that's why football stimulates debate in the way it does.

Imagine if we all agreed on what we saw, that would be so booooring.

Of course but there's more to football in our values, it's something deeply ingrained inside sticking for one of ours during good times as well as bad times. I always grew up with this club being more than just a normal football club.

If the stats said that Rafa had indeed wasted a lot of money in buying duds or playing players 'out of position', I'd have raised my hands up but I really don't see where there's any credence to that statement. I really can't see it.

I'd trust him to spend the club's money wisely, no worries. The thing is, he's had to take a lot of risks because he never had that much money in the first place.

Is there any information or rumours about this?

I don't want to go over old ground but I do think that our scouting isn't at the level it should be.
