The manager buys and picks the players, after that all I can ask of any player is that he makes an effort and shows commitment. Lucas and Kuyt are by no means perfect, but they work hard and that's good enough for me. Compare Kuyt to Babel - Kuyt would run himself into the ground for us and gives everything for the team even when things aren't going well, Babel is a DJ.

Reina has been our player of the season, he has been our most consistent performer throughout. The best goalkeeper in the World bar none.

I'd just repeat that the manager makes the team selection and as supporters we should expect our players to perform to the best of their ability. Kuyt and Lucas have both given everything whilst the likes of Gerrard, Babel, Riera, Aquilani and Insua have not. Commitment is the big thing for me, I can forgive a player who has limitations if he makes an effort.

Imagine if Gerrard had been arsed this season or Babel had run about a bit. If Riera hadn't been such a ****** and Aquilani actually wanted to earn his wages. I hate players who don't give a ****, I'm **** at football, but I'd run my ****ing arse off for my club and any one of us would give more than some of the players we currently have.

Picking Reina as player of the season isn't a negative, it's merely a reflection of how important he is to us. We have (IMHO) four World class players who would walk into any team - Reina, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres. Reina has been our most consistent performer of those players this season.

Just watched the highlights and one thing come to mind. What the **** happened to our european badge of honor? It should be on the kits weather it is the Uefa cup or CL we are in.

It must be that it can only be worn in the Champs league, which isn't right imo, but it's typical of those that run football, and the sort of idiotic rule they'd have.
