And Aquilani is class, just give him a chance
His comments after Reading were this year and were moronic.
Babel has dug his own hole and he hasn't got the game intelligence to be a good enough player to get out of it imo.

Whether Babel goes or not Riera is leaving so I'd expect us to sign a new left winger. In this case the new guy would start on the left and I'd have Maxi and Kuyt rotating on the right depending on what the game needs.

Personally I'm still not convinced that Babel is leaving...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has hinted that he may be happy to keep Alberto Aquilani in the attacking free midfield role which saw the Italian make three assists in Sunday’s 4-0 victory at Burnley.

Aquilani played a more attacking game, pushed up behind Dirk Kuyt, who was substituted early in the second half.

Benitez said, “It is an option. He can play in both positions.

“In the first year, especially because he has been injured for a long time, to manage him and find the right position for him was not easy because the Premier League is very strong and physical.

“But in this position he has freedom and with Gerrard behind him they can pass to each other.

“Aquilani can pass the ball and when the game is open like in the second half he can move and give good assists.”

That wasn't a criticism by the way, it's just that I feel it's a rehash of the same quotes with a different title, which doesn't presume Aquilani will hold down his place whatsoever. I just meant to emphasise on the poor journalism.

i'd be hoping for a new right winger to be signed as well.

maxi hasnt exactly won me over yet and i'd expect kyut to be given more of a central role next year depending on budgets for players.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Really? I think Maxi has been excellent in the last month.

We need different options and having many players strong enough to really compete for a first team place is a good thing. people tend to want it to be about one player replacing another I'm not sure that is really the case (I accept that it is likely that we will move to playing Kuyt less but then earlier this season it was obvious he was knackered from playing too much so that is as much an advantage to him as a bad thing for him).
I agree completely. I'm continually surprised at the desire of many on here and in the press to identify the strongest team. The strongest team depends on the situation.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
