I think he has shown that he has the potential to be a very good player for us. Whether he can stay fit and fulfil that potential is the big questionThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He always had a potential to be a class. His creativity is what we were expecting to see from him from day one. He needs more play time before he can be judged either way.

We hope. But its been such a ****e season. Anything can happen. We could be taken over by the Richest person in the world and sign the greatest players but it will not take away the fact that this season really has been ****e enough to put you into depression. So many seeds of doubt have been implanted. Expectations are non-existent.Originally posted by mostar View PostI hope he does. Next year if he is injury-free he could have a killer season.

I hear you. It was season full of disappointments but imo realistically we underachieved (just like we overachieved last year) and with few shrewed buys (if funds are available) we could be looking at much better season next year. I agree with no expectation approach as what happens with ownership situation will ultimately have a profound impact on us but still you cannot but not continue to hope..Originally posted by Baracus View PostWe hope. i'm going to put it out there, I thought, goal a side, he was woeful last night.
He's just a fancy dan powder puff of a player - at times last night he was a passenger, there was a period about 5 mins or so into second half where I concentrated on him and everything by-passed him, he didn't break into a stride or sweat to close anyone down. The Atl Madrid players were just popping the ball around him and strolling past him. He can't tackle, can't head the ball, offers no kind of explosive pace or power, has no strength, no tricks and **** stupid hair.
Good finish for the goal, he has a few nice touces and passes here and there but as i say he is a powder puff of a player, i don't even know what the **** that means but it describes him perfectly
Granted, I only watched the game at Anfield, so I will over the weekend watch it on tv and see if there was something i've missed or not seen but last night i just thought he was a cunt.
How anyone could consider him over kuyt/mascher/agger/lucas/yossi and even babel for man of the match shocks me at the moment
I said it a while ago, maybe in this thread - the only thing that will save him is our lack of transfer funds, at the moment we have 3 areas that need strengthing first and have to be a priority - if we get that sorted and still have money to spend on other areas he'll be on his way.Last edited by PTP; 30-04-10, 09:48 AM.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

That is so wrong I can't believe it mate. Watch it again and we'll see how you feel then
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
