Should have ****ed off to Russia when he had the chance.

Bitter **** and thick as **** too. Why would the board fight for him? Does he think his 'best club in the world' comments were believed by anyone?

Even wanting the current board to side with him shows how out of touch with the fans he is.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

How determined he is to go...

Stuttgart are planning a bid for out-of-favour Liverpool winger Albert Riera.

He caused his own problems with the "sinking ship" comments. He had been in and out of the team all year, when he came in he would shirk tackles, 50/50's that were more like 70/30's in favour of him he would jump out of.. now i know hes a winger, but when the ball is there to be won.. in any position, you win it.

If he wanted to play well, he could, but his dip in form and then blame it on Rafa was what made him miss the last two months, when really he could have been pushing for a place in the Spanish national team.

I would let this cunt just rot in the same place we keep Charles Itandje.

I wonder if the players knew something was going to happen, might explain some of their performances

Does this mean we have to keep Riera now?

This could mean clean slate for him. The new coach will probably evaluate all options first before he decides to put anybody on the selling block.

but you would have to think as a manager, if it has happened once there is a chance it will happen again. I guess if riera can get his head straight he offers us good balance on the left but i would still be looking for another LW

I guess it depends on the manager. Some may give players like Riera benefit of the doubt and allow them to prove themselves. That approach may work out or it could backfire.

I would have thought he would be gone. ANyoen coming in will need to sell to generate funds. Riera has hardly lit the world on fire in his time here.
