    I also hope we lose.

We dont have much over them nowadays that record has to stand!!

if they take that we only have the European cup record and the fact that they are all a bunch of cunts to console ourselves with.

I really would hate it if they get to 19 before us. I know people keep saying it's inevitable, and they'll do it sooner or later, but I'm not so sure. They are so reliant on Rooney it's untrue, also I don't think that they have the greatest squad of players in terms of quality. I also think that the likes of Giggs Scholes and Neville being around has a huge influence on them and Giggs and Scholes in particular have got them out of trouble numerous times. It will be interesting to see how their squad copes in a couple of years without them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

we have been predicting the demise of scum for last 5 years.......

but I definitely see the end is nigh for there dominance.

The Annoying thing is i wouldnt swap there squad for ours now yet they seem to revel in getting wanky wins they dont deserve bunch of cunts.

Like for like there is barely a player on squad I would swap for what they have, the only exceptions would be their wingers (not because I think they are particularly great, but because it's something we lack) and I'd swap Insua for Evra that's it.

Their luck has to run out at some point Rooney's fitness holding up, the crazy number of OGs in their favour. I feel that losing the senior players in the next couple of years will have an effect!

            Fingers crossed

It seems a lot of people hate Man United more than they love Liverpool.

I dont think it's about hating them more than loving Liverpool - the reason people dont want to see our record go, is because they DO love Liverpool. If it was a case of United overtaking someone else to become the record title-winners, then that'd be different - but it's OUR record they're looking to take and i'm ****ed if i wanna see that. Especially when their squad is on its last legs and ginsoak's on his last artery.

As for this scenario, it's absolutely critical that we beat Atletico on Thursday.

If we get to the final, then we have absolute justification for 'resting' players and nobody could complain (they will, but they've no leg to stand on).

If we're out of the Uefa Cup, we have nothing else left to play for and there's no real 'fair' justification for a weaker side. So we'd get ripped for it. I'm sure Warnock and Allardyce would soon pitch in with their 'thoughts' too

Sadly the league table never lies.....as much as it galls me to say it. That said I trust that our ****ness continues come Sunday and that Chelski win the league ahead of the scum.

Records are there to be broken.

I resigned myself to it happening since we lost the title last year.

Exactly. It's our record, has been forever, and I'm proud of it. Wouldn't matter if it was Dagenham & Redbridge about to overtake us, I'd still be of the same mindset. The fact that it's those ****ing horrible *******s just makes it even worse.

This weekend can't come quick enough for me.
                            It's absolutely wrecking my head.

Er, some of us remember when we equalled someone else's record of title wins.

Can't remember whose record it was though. Arsenal? Manchester United? Villa? No, Villa's record was FA Cups, wasn't it?

                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I have to admit I'm tired of all this caring about what happens to other teams. If United win the league they will deserve it albeit this season the league has been crap, they have been the best team for a number of years and haven't yet forgotten how to win.
