If we don't get new owners then undoubtedly - yes. I thought we had all taken that for granted some time ago?

i really, really hope you're rightOriginally posted by Exiled_red View PostI think now that we've got King Kenny back and the guy who developed alot of the Barca talent, coupled with young players getting a chance (Ngog and Insua) and the friction between the academy and melwood sorted. I think we are now in a strong position to bring in some of the best young talent around.

I think it's great we're getting top prospects. Quality players no matter what age are the key to long-term success, just look at Barca.
We now have so many great prospects that hopefully 1 or 2 will break through every year and be part of the first team such as Shelvey, Suso, Sterling, LDV to add to the likes of Kelly, Ngog and Pacheco.
This will free up cash to spend big on 1-2 world class players - that's the strategy behind all this IMHO.

i think it is but does it also mean that we're still going to get a new left back, left winger and striker ?Originally posted by Helios Creed View PostRafa's always bought 10+ kids every summer - now we're buying more exepensive ones. Would be nice to see 1-2 break through in the near future. Rafa has invested a lot of energy into the youth set up. I remember reading great things about Pacheco, Bruna, Suso, LDV, Nemeth, Ince, Wisdom, Amoo and others when we signed them. Would be great to see a couple of them make the break throughK ris90210

Its bull****!
This is our worst season for years, and yet how many appearences has Rafa given Pacheco, who is by all accounts our best young player.
He should be giving him a few minutes here and there. Its not as if there is anyone else up front who is playing well.
Rafa doesnt trust kids.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Whne we're playing badly and lacking in confidence isn't the time for kids, you need experienced heads. Throwing kids in at the deep end means they either sink or swim, and can shatter their confidence and hamper their development.Originally posted by Charly View PostIts bull****!

Rafa doesnt trust kids. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I agree. It's like passing over into a parallel universe sometimes. Coming on here and reading such absolute bollocks makes 6-0-6 seem like a bastion of common senseOriginally posted by Mattshark View PostIt is amazing how bringing young players can be turned into something to worry or complain at on this board.

With all these kids coming in / being linked are we expecting a big clear out from the reserves in the summer? Who do people expect to see leaving? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
