Anyone concerned about the young kids coming in?

I don't really see anything to be massively concerned about here other than the dire situation we are already in. In my opinion we are making these recruits because a) we think they are good signings b) we know we basically have no budget at all until G&H sell up and C) if/when we are sold we wont have wasted the little money we had on average players so that when we do go properly shopping they will compliment rather than just being ready for the bin.

With all these kids coming in / being linked are we expecting a big clear out from the reserves in the summer? Who do people expect to see leaving?

Well the kids being bought in don't seem to be for the reserves. Rafa said Shelvey was for the first team, Wilson is said to be set to be loaned back to Rangers and most of the rest are 15-16 so probably not ready for the reserves quite yet.

I'd expect that we should be shedding a good number of reserves each season or at the very least looking to loan them out as a last chance to prove themselves.

I was assuming that to mean he'd feature in the first team mostly with minutes from the bench, in a similar role to those Ngog and Pacheco would be getting 'normally' (ie without alot of injuries) 15 mins here, 20 mins there and featuring in Carling Cup ties etc. to be integrated into the team slowly. Not on the opening day of the season see, Gerrard Mascherano and Shelvey starting in midfield.

I thought we were being linked with a number of promising youngsters ~17-18, whic I was envisaging if they were that good they'd be going into the reserves rather than the U18s (but maybe I'm mistaken and they are younger)

Brouwer, Spearing, Plessis will all leave I think or all should leave in my opinion. Not really sure on some of the others as many have only played in it for a year or so
