I agree though for what it's worth. Can't think of anyone bar Mourinho that I'd be entirely happy to see coming in, so on those grounds alone I'd give him one more chance to find out whether this season was a blip or the continuing decline from last year's peak...
Interestingly everyones favourite insider Balague said that he knew for a fact that Mourinho wanted to come here but without any serious finance what could he achieve with the squad we have.

If Torres and Gerrard played 32 league games each we could finish top four and he could possibly bring Joe cole to the club for our problem left hand side but Torres wont play 32 league games and we cant afford a decent replacement.

Honestly, I would take Jose and after his antics at the final whistle at the Camp Nou you've just got to give it to the bloke. He's a first class wind up merchant and guess what it works.

But I dont think rafa's been given a fair crack of the whip and if there was money coming in then really its only right that rafa gets a chance to spend it. Afterall, when he spent big we finished second (the first time) and we lost the title last season because of his 'rant'

With a bit more luck we could be sitting here with 2 Champions league medals, one FA cup, one carling cup and two league titles from 6 seasons which would be remarkable for anyone - even mourinho.

the common consensus seems to be that Rafa deserves to be given the opportunity to prove himself with big money.

What if that big money is not available. Is he still the guy then to be given another opportunity?

You mention that over the next few years youth will start to feature, but should he be given more than one year?

      Just a question.
The problem is though. Even if a new manager did come in, he'd only be picking up the **** left behind.... And i think there's very few manager's that could handle the amount of **** we have at the club as well as Rafa has.

The only thing i think would come from a new manager coming in is the 'feeling' of gettin a fresh start. Which would invariably pick the team/players spirits up etc.

Rafa has been with LFC through thick and thin, high and lows, and for that reason I also think he earned one more chance especially if money will be available.

I am not so sure that new manager and fresh start would work in these tough times/circumstances. Given our growing impatience for quick results any new manager if adequate amount of funding is not provided imo would be doomed for quick failure. If the money will be there I am of opinion that Rafa deserves that opportunity.

ok here's something to get started with, so what players need to be moved out? Its the end of season and you've been handed a transfer budget of say 30 million. new owners on way but wont be finalised till start of the season but have promised another 20 million for the jan window. who comes and goes?

Am I the only one worried about Rafa leaving this sorry mess of a club and the one coming in is not man enough for the job and we end up far worse?

It seems that everyone assumes that the one who would replace Rafa would do bette then he has. They all have flaws.

When you have to put the words "self proclaimed" in front, it kind of takes the sting out.

                            No...

because he has failed this year and other years and has blamed lack of money.

that suggests to me he cannot work without spending lots of money, and this probably suggests he is not great at getting the best out of his existing team.

There are quite a few examples in the league of managers that do a better job at this.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

Exactly, ffs managing LFC is a world away from managing any of those clubs, you would think our own fans would realise this.
