I think it was Vermillion that mentioned in an earlier post if they were to sell Gerrard and Torres then they will be doing it just to bide time before they can further refinance the loans and then commence work on the stadium.
I think even that's probably an overoptimistic view.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

If they continue how they are going only one thing will happen - administration.
That why the club has recently been put up for sale - T&G have realised their is nothing left for them to make money from other than the sale.

As per my post above, they haven't quite 'finished' stripping us yet. There is still the matter of expensive players and Academy to fritter away before they finally sell up for a nominal fee. They'll get more stripping those two than a sale valuation.

If the really want to sell the club i dont think there will be player sales, by selling gerrard and torres it would knock another 100m off the asking price, so no point in selling them. They only way i can see them selling is if we go into admin, which, well, wouldnt****ingsurpriseme!

Maybe but I don't see the point of crippling the club with all the debt, they're only getting themselves in a mess trying to do so.

I hope to god they're not going to assess strip otherwise we're wrecked as a club.

You're right going into administration or seeing the revenues / profitability/ cash flows of the club decline is not in their interest.

I suspect the banks will cap any activity that could be construed as asset stripping as that would put their money at risk. I think they both can see there is no interest for them to remain as owners hence their decision to sell.

In terms of the poor state of finances then that can all be sorted out through the sale. Just hope Broughton is good to his word - the test is that in time the new owner(s) will been seen as good for lfc.

Its pretty clear they are making their money from their 10% loan to LFC, when they are probably borrowing that for 5%. A nice little mark up earning £5m in the pocket each year for doing nothing.

I wonder if they sell up, if that debt will reamin on the club.

It doesn't devalue the brand LFC at all.

It certainly does short term. Think of all the shirt sales and kids who only follow LFC for the big players.

I'm not entirely sure that Hicks' true intention is to sell. I'm of the opinion that this is just a front to get a 12 month extension from the banks, he's trying anything to hang in there.

I still think the stupid old buffoon thinks he can somehow keep the club & build the stadium, then sell it off for a massive profit.

That's my rather cynical take on it too.

The longer he stays in, the more LFC owes his loan shark deal.

                                What a cunt.
