yes that will doOriginally posted by TomI haven't given up on 3rd. Arsenal have had a much easier season start than we have. They have difficult games to come - including against us next week. We'll be all out not to lose that one. I have a sneaky feeling that our season starts next week. Optimistic enough for you?Thomas Hicks Senior

after sleeping on it.Originally posted by MorphorinoOkay lets clutch at some straws here -
We're no further off the top of the table than we were this morning still 11 points off
11 points isn't a massive gap, difficult to close but not impossible
There's still 98 points up for grabs, with all but one of our traditionally hardest fixtures done with.
Man u and Chelscum you would expect at least to drop a further 18 points each by the end of the season.
On average over the last few seasons around 88-92 points will win the prem, we could still hit this target, and drop roughly 10 points.
We are 8 points worse off than last season in corresponding fixtures, but theres plenty of opportunitys to make these 8 points up over the course of the season, to at least bring us level to last season.
All we need to do is hit form, and win a shed load of games between now and May - highly unlikely, but not impossible.
Disclaimer - this thread in unhealthily optimistic.
our form can't get any worse than it is right now.
agger will be fit again soon
we will finish in the top 3"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

The pub was, erm, lively!Originally posted by Red_PoloI can at least comfort myself I don't live in Manc territory. You must be copping it ****ing bad out there.
TBH, I don't get much abuse. Even wearing a 'European Champions 2005' tee-shirt in a Man Utd pub in Manchester...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.
