    Agreed.

There's no excuses for him whatsoever.

    It's sink or swim.

We'll see, we have no idea whether he'll have excuses come the start of the season, he could break his leg before then....knowing him.

If he stays fit and plays often, i'd put money on him being a very good player for us, especially if we can add some more quality to the side.

Could this lad play in a 442?

I've been looking through our squad and have questioned whether quite a few of them would suit the system, even if they are quality players. Aquilani is one such player.

Feck me, I'd completely forgotten we had him in the team!

God I hope he has a better second season and hits the ground running. If Gerrard was to go, I could see him forming a nice partnership with Torres (if Torres was to stay).
          Play Ball!!!!!!!

Same as that mate - he's kind of the forgotten man!

I think Aqua man will come good and by the end of the season he'll have his own line of super aquaman figures!

Course he could, as the attack-minded of the centre midfield pair.

On paper, him being the attacker and Masher being the defender should work perfectly. That's on paper though

I'm personally not convinced that we should have that kind of definite style of player in each position.
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I think Hodgson likes both midfielders to play an equal part, but at Fulhma that wasn't entirely possible so had Etuhu as the destroyer and Murphy as the passer.

I guess Aquilani and Mascher would work the same.

Agree, but I'm afraid it looks like Mascher's gonna go.

Yup. Wonder if he brings another midfielder in or sticks with Lucas, Gerrard and Aquilani.

Hopefully as Stevie may be off too.

Think Gerrard and torres will stay.

Can't see clubs meeting our valuation for either.

Not according to his agent. He said Masch would most likely be liverpool this season and there are a lot of lies being reported, like learning to speak Italian etc etc.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Yeah I think he will do OK. He has been written off too quickly and we looked more likely to score with him in the team.

                                Which would probably end up like a 4 1 3 2 really
