Some people are clearly pro no matter what, and some have made up their mind about Rafa needing to go no matter what, and then the semi-silent majority in the middle.
But do get involved
Sums the place up well.

I think theres a fair cross section who support both sides of the arguement but as rightly pointed out there are larger issues for us to complain about at present. During Rafas tenure we have never had a stable boardroom so its really unfair to completely judge him. Hes had some success and some epic failures (last season) but overall I think hes the right man for the job if only we could sort ourselves out. The ridiculously high fan expectation isnt helping either, theres no way we should just expect success given our financial situation yet we all do, myself included. Being Liverpool is a millstone around our necks sometimes.

Yes it is tough, but Rafa should have known the drill when he took over. Had we come 4th and had people calling for his head I would have said the same things as you. But coming 4th place with the squad we had last year should have been achieveable.Originally posted by Darth Marty View PostI think theres a fair cross section who support both sides of the arguement but as rightly pointed out there are larger issues for us to complain about at present. There were people calling for his head early on into the campaign last year, and I was one of few who came out and said he deserved to stay on and that we should only judge at the end of the season. Well I stuck to my word. I gave him until the end of the season and then looked at what he had done. And it didn't look pretty. We failed in every competition we entered, even failing to win what is best described as the also rans cup in Europe.
It was a disastorous season for the football club and it is only due to our poor financial state that he is still in a job.Forwards.......

Its hard to fault your post as I was another who said judge him at the end of the season. If I was as good as my word id want him gone pronto however I just cant stop thinking if we were a better run outfit then things would improve everywhere including on the pitch results. Regardless of whether Rafa has failed in his duty or not there's no escaping the fact that he has a ready made excuse (which may or may not be legitimate) for when he leaves/gets sacked.
I would love to see him have a few seasons with which to judge him purely on his results, none of this bull**** political maneuvering that has become such a day to day part of Liverpool.

I just honestly couldnt tell you what i think re Rafa at the moment, because it's far from my mind.
I'm sure you could gauge an idea of my view based on some of my posts over the course of last season though

Pardon me?Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostThis post sums up my feelings exactly. If we were in it just for the glory then he should be a goner but this club is different to any other.
What are we in it for? Humanitarian work? Charity balls? Scout and guide fairs?
Liverpool FC exists to win trophies.

I would have loved Mourinho to be our manager, yes. But obviously he didnt, so obviously the scenario is altered.Originally posted by pezzzer View Posti think you showed what camp your firmly in craig with the subtle "it woulkd be like all my birthdays and chritmas's coming at once if moureen came here"
