Yeah but I'd kind of like to know that the players haven't stabbed the manager in the backOriginally posted by dww View PostThe problem is that makes it difficult for whoever takes over. I wish they had made their support clear earlier - once Rafa is gone there is really no point it only adds to the divisions at the club.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Me too - I just don't think we will know unless they leave. Which would be bad.Originally posted by Reece View PostYeah but I'd kind of like to know that the players haven't stabbed the manager in the back

Good lad Redshadow. Amazing to think it's 20 years(ish) since Kenny last managed us! However, you've also now made me feel very old (I was only 10 when he left). I can remember bits of that season but the notable memories are the Everton games (Grobs with his red cap on in the first game), Beardos hat trick against the mancs. The trouncing of Derby and the defeats against Arsenal and Palace. (and Hysen vs the mancs).
Stand out memory of my life as a ten year old is obviously Kenny leaving. I can't recall a single thing I did myself that year but it doesn't seem like 20 years have gone by.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I'm not mentally unhinged Reece - I just think we've been FAR to soft on these fcukers - Far worse goes on in America in corporate takeovers and VIOLENT resistance to Boards occurs ALL the time in Latin American And European countries so why not here? They're getting away with murder (of OUR club) because we're letting them - Why not bring out OUR heavy Artillery and go all out against them? The ONLY thing stopping them running full pelt back to the US and hiding away from us is the knowledge that our fans don't DARE attack them properly due to fear of the law, fear of football authorities, fear of things getting out of hand.....FEAR basically - If they knew JUST what a bear they'd roused by upsetting our fans (and the club suddenly mysteriously was ahem unable to even SELL tickets or Fulfil fixtures giving them NO money whilst they and their loathsome offspring were simultaneously harassed without end in the US -in person/media/at work etc- maybe?) - I doubt they'd be within MILES of Anfield - but we NEED to show them that AND that said bear will NOT be messed with............
Rcasemore - WHAT prey tell IS the way to go about things then? Sit there and compose hundreds of dainty little Letters of complaint that take FAR less time for them to bin than they will for us to write? Send another 10,000 emails STRAIGHT to their Recycle Bins? Make tons of phonecalls that will be ignored or hung up on the MOMENT they find out WHY we're Calling?. No, I think we've gone a LITTLE beyond that now............

I can still remember being in a pub for lunch (I was at University so had an excuse) and ringing home only for my dad to give me the news that Kenny had gone

I can only see Kenny and Rushie taking the role on the understanding that it is short term, maybe even before the season starts.Originally posted by Gerrard View Postso so sad for the way this has played out - Rafa deserved so much more than this
One thought, if Kenny and Rushie are brought in and these cunts running the club **** with them like they have with Rafa, i'd genuinely fear for their safety.
Rafa is loved by the fans but not nearly in the same league as the King and Rushie, all hell would break loose if G & H tried to humiliate these 2 like this
Oh well **** em - the cunts

Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

just a song these days mateOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostDark days at Anfield at the moment but let's remember who we are, what we stand for
When you walk through a storm
Hold your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on, through the wind,
Walk on, through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

the days of this happening are overOriginally posted by banditos View PostRemember this day folks, when the best era the club has had in 20 years comes to an end. We won't be anywhere near the Champions league for a while now unless some rich sugar daddy buys us.
Gutted that Rafa is being pushed out like this. He's the best man for the job under the current finiancial restraints and I'm afraid his detractors are going to realise that too over the next season or two. The board are a bunch of ****ing snakes.
New rules that uefa want to bring in will only allow you to spend profit you made, i.e. not an owner with loads of money

Paul you said re Loadsamoney owners;
''the days of this happening are over
New rules that uefa want to bring in will only allow you to spend profit you made, i.e. not an owner with loads of money''
Which means WHAT precisely - The 'Haves' stay above all others where their ill-gotten money has got them and the 'Have-nots' have NO chance of catching them (until their teams age and fall apart anyway). If true I can see THAT rule provoking the breakaway European League UEFA So fear - I can see it now ''It's OUR money and we'll spend as much of it as WE like'' (Rich clubs to UEFA) ''Come on WE NEED to find somone rich to keep up, let's follow them OUT of UEFA'S bloody rules'' (Every other club NOT rich), ''DOH!!'' (UEFA after yet ANOTHER Facepalm idea!!). I really do think THAT rule WILL cause a revolution in European Football IF fully enforced...........
