    b) The way it is being done.

I know that they are somewhat related, but is there any sense in which concerns over (b) are clouding (a). To be honest, and obviously I don't want to start a firestorm, I am not unhappy -- or have mixed feelings at best -- about (a) and I am surprised, given previous discussions on here that this is not a more widely shared opinion.

I ask this in the spirit of genuine inquiry.
I'm gutted about Rafa leaving - along with Pepe he has been the only person who has convinced me that there is something special still at Liverpool to support. The non-commital statements of Benayoun, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres have been deeply disappointing, saddening and disillusioning. I think Rafa is a world class manager and we won't be getting another one of those anytime soon I don' think.

Added to that I just liked the man and had huge respect for him.

The way it has been handled and the complicity of so many of the media commentators has been despicable but is only to be expected from classless snakes like Purslow, Gillet and Hicks and a Chelsea fan like Broughton.

I think a lot of people who were on the fence or wanted Rafa to go have stated that but everyone is to some extent now seeing how difficult it would be to work with/for such poisonous ****wits.

I'm nicking it from Lecter off of another forum, but I assume it's coming from a live webcast somewhere.

        Why would they?

They are taking £40m a year in interest. Why would they force a sale?

Barrett just said he expects Chelsea's interest in Torres to intensify in the next few weeks.

I think I'd give up with football if Rafa goes and Torres ends up at Chelsea. What an utterly utterly gut-wrenching though.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Honestly so many fans are in for a mighty shock, Rafa recently upgraded our scouting structure with a small select band of full time scouts, previously we had 80-100 part time scouts some as old as 80 odd.

I ask you, Liverpool FC and part time scouts??? some of whom wouldn't have even kicked a ball themselves for over 40 years wandering around the parks trying to find the next Owen, Gerrard, Carra, Fowler.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

What about all the stuff Torres said about Liverpool being his english club, as Atletico are his Spanish club?

He cant go to another english club. He just cant.

One thing i dont like about MON is the way he practically gropes the players after a game, i dont mean just hugs! he is almost trying to snog them ffs, I reckon he gets a hard on watching football. But yes, that is one thing he has is passion god love him!

Are you Really THAT thick or do you work at it? Serious Passion? We don't NEED Passion - What we need is Good Management - Better than ANY the ''get it down the wings, kick the ball long and cross all day long'' merchant O'Neill can provide. ''Step up into the big time"? You utter, utter prat - We were 4 POINTS FROM WINNING THE BLOODY TITLE A YEAR AGO!!! How much nearer to the Big Time do we need to satisfy Fools like you?

To conclude, besides - O'Neill? A man raised in the FOREST way of playing by Brian Clough? The very ANTITHESIS of Everything for which this club once stood? Are you an idiot? We should NEVER take him - Not in a million years.............

Broughton has a conflict of interest with Torres and Chelsea, surely.

New rules that uefa want to bring in will only allow you to spend profit you made, i.e. not an owner with loads of money''

Which means WHAT precisely - The 'Haves' stay above all others where their ill-gotten money has got them and the 'Have-nots' have NO chance of catching them (until their teams age and fall apart anyway). If true I can see THAT rule provoking the breakaway European League UEFA So fear - I can see it now ''It's OUR money and we'll spend as much of it as WE like'' (Rich clubs to UEFA) ''Come on WE NEED to find somone rich to keep up, let's follow them OUT of UEFA'S bloody rules'' (Every other club NOT rich), ''DOH!!'' (UEFA after yet ANOTHER Facepalm idea!!). I really do think THAT rule WILL cause a revolution in European Football IF fully enforced...........

Sorry mate but they are not selling the club, H&G used that ruse to buy them some more time, we will not have new owners before the start of next season let alone this one after the WC.

It's all just a ploy, I have serious hate for Moores and Parry, even thinking about his snivelling, pathetic half baked letter makes my blood boil

I don't trust anyone who is a so called ITK, hardly any of them get anything right. Balague and Barrett seem to be Rafa's Right and Left hand men in the the Media industry when something is concrete or push Rafa's agenda otherwise they just speculate unless told otherwise. I don't beleive the Torres rumours. Paul Tomkins must be crying a river...seriously he can not post a positive thing about liverpool once Rafa leaves.

Lets just hope and pray Torres follows Rafa to Inter and doesn't go to City or Chelsea
