Roy is an excellent choice. Long live Roy.

Two Roys', we've had two Roys' managing our club!
Look who's saying stupid ****ing stuff now.

maybe a mediocre manager is okay for you but i expect a club like mine to be looking higher than roy hodgson.

if you dont think that he'll try bringing some of his "trusted" players with him - like all managers do when they move clubs - then your deluded.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think you can safely assume that Fulhams left back will not be arriving at Anfield. Or their right back. The keeper won't be arriving either and I doubt the likes of Davies will either. Its ****ing stupid to think otherwise.
Quite right, we couldn't afford any of them!

Just wait and see who he signs and what he pays for them.

Zamora, REALLY? after one good season you now think he's liverpool quality., ffs i thought i'd lowered my expectations, but you've gone way lower.

We'll have "wasted" probably ÂŁ10m on all this by the time Roy's snug in this Melwood office, that's probably half the money that Rafa wanted this summer as a workable budget. Fecking ridiculous.

Yes lets get Capello. The bloke who has failed to do his job with England. Lets get a manager from Spain that has never managed here before and will take a year or two to grasp what our league is about.

I think as a manager Roy Hodgson is ****ing excellent. I think there have been some ****ing excellent managers in the lowers leagues over the years. Look at Dario Gradi, could anyone have done a better job with Crewe? Ferguson, Mourinho or Rafa? I doubt it very much. They are excellent managers used to working with quality players, although Fergie also proved himself up in Scotland. Roy has done well with the resources he's had. He knows the football world inside out. Finally a top team has rewarded this with an opportunity. Just because he hasn't won a European cup or league title in Spain or Italy doesn't make him a **** manager.

On the other point, he may bring the odd player in from Fulham, if it helps us out why are you so opposed?

I hate saying this though, but he is the least inspiring managerial appointment we have made in my life time (though I have faith that he will still out do Souness).
I haven't felt less inspired by an appointment since we appointed Roy Evans, who came in out of the blue just for being Souness's sidekick, having been reserve team coach not long before and who absolutely nobody at the time would have considered short-list material, much less manager.

Good luck to him, but I feel no connection to him whatsoever and am hoping that he's a Yes Man stop-gap until the owners eventually go and then we can kick on with a real manager

He has my backing, 100%, as do all LFC managers.

Good luck Roy and welcome. Let's hope he gets a fair crack of the whip, don't think he will under these owners and not really fair if new owners bin him.

As a first choice player no he isn't. If he came and scored 15 goals and we got 4th by either being backup or playing up top to take the hits from Torres he'd have been a good signing. I hate this bull**** about is he liverpool quality, well is Ngog? Was the pony tailed wonder? How many of the present squad really are? Why did we finish 7th?

Roy Hodgson having worked with players on a daily basis would know whether they could make the next step up.

I don't care who he signs as long as they've never played for Utd.

You are just being a cunt about the whole situation since Rafa flew first class to Milan.

At least the media seem to like him, that should keep the pressure off the players. They'll be happier cos Roy won't be distant from them. He may well be better than Rafa in the low end of the transfer market, which is where he'll be shopping let's face it.

Not the 1st choice but one of the best from the options we had.
