i'd even make a case for my favoured 3-4-1-2 formation with carra, agger and hangeland with skittles back up.

no doubting zamora is a step up on ngog but i think i'd rather give pacheco a chance.

Well I'm not going to hijack the thread by getting into another argument with you, it just seems a bit hypocritical you being the one asking for loyalty when you were the very first one to turn on our previous manager.

No-one needs quotes, everyone knows you disliked Rafa.

However, I can oblige. Here you are slagging off our esteemed former manager. A quick two minute search is all it takes...

2 games left and Now Rafa wants to play attacking football

Rafael Benitez will tell his Liverpool side to adopt an "offensive mentality" when they take on Chelsea on Sunday.

Benitez is eager to see his players react after Thursday's Europa League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

"Chelsea are different to Atletico but we want to win so have to play with an offensive mentality," said Benitez.

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson insists Liverpool will not "throw away history" by giving Chelsea the win to scupper Manchester United's title chances.

LINK Could have done with this attitude at the start of the season
On the other hand he is saying that there too down and tired ...............
Benitez said: ‘It will be more difficult than ever now to lift the players. We will have to check on everyone before deciding on the line-up. That is how it has left us.

‘I am proud of the effort the players put in, but now they are paying the price. It has taken a lot out of them. I thought that if we won, then adrenaline might carry us through against Chelsea.
'Instead, the players are not only very weary but very down. Our job is to try to get them ready for another big game, but it will not be easy.’

Rafa Benitez claims it was unrealistic to expect Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.

As the inquest into Liverpool’s disappointing domestic campaign rages on, Benitez says it was always going to be difficult for them to better finishing runners-up last term.

The Reds boss claims injuries also took a heavy toll on his squad, who look like missing out on the Champions League place.

“At the beginning of the season expectations were too high,” he said. “That is normal after such a good season.

“But I always say the same – the Premier League is the Premier League and the *difference in money is so big that if you want to stay at this level for a while, you have to do almost everything perfectly.

“That’s not easy when you push and push because sometimes you cannot keep the players working so hard or at the level they were in the previous season.

“During pre-season we also had players coming back late and then we had injuries. We’ve had seven, nine or 11 players out at the same time in different months, players who would normally be starters.

“We can talk about mistakes, but when you have so many players injured, especially key players, it is not easy to sustain a level of performance every week.”

As for your short memory, Benitez's alleged negativity somehow led to our being comfortably the highest scorers last season, but you seem to think - rather, know - that he actually decided not to play attacking football this season. If only we all had your insight and wisdom

                  Cheers Shaggy.

So you see my point Bender, if anyone is going to preach loyalty to LFC managers, let's just leave that to someone else who practices what they preach shall we.

Yeah I might be surprised, but I don't think so
Wasn't it 4 away wins in 2 seasons for Roy? He's a nice bloke for sure, but I think his level was at fulham.

So this summer these cunts have sacked Rafa, probably by phone whilst on Holiday and made a complete cunt out of Kenny Dalglish by appointing the one man he did not recommend.

They can go **** themselves I am supporting Inter till they **** off

Disappointed to say the least. Welcome Roy hope you make something of this current Liverpool squad and hopefully you can persuade Torres and Gerrard to remain with the club.
(Looks like we have become Newcastle/Leeds MACH 2).

I think very few people can get excited in any way by Roy becoming our new manager, it is one of the biggest disappointments in a long time, but that doesn't change the fact that he should get our full support when he gets appointed.
