They'll spin us the usual ****e while the club continues to decline, the truth is'nt something they care about, nor is lfc, they just want the money and out, they have jobs to do for their bosses and banks, then they're gone, what's left behind they don't care about.

Or he is not the sort of person to hold a player against his will, or knows the value of a player? Accepting a bid doesn't mean a player isn't rated.

Most footballers would qualify for remark that i reckon.

i'd be worried if the consulted players before they would appoint someone ... talking about player power.
the board appoints managers without consulting players because it's none of their business even if it was calsberg, i.e. the best board in the world.
do you reckon moores consulted gerrard and owen before appointing benitez? i think not.

              Mr Freud, how goes it?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Lets be fair, this is a safe signing. Our target is now the top 7, an old experienced manager like Roy should achieve that. Our football will be safe and uninspiring, our signings will be average/good consistent players, no stars, and most of all, Roy won't challenge the owners.

Personally, if none of the top managers want the job, I'd welcome one of the new generation of managers here and give it a shot, your Deschamps, Rikaard or Bilic. They'd add something fresh and get us playing some exciting footy.

Exactly what i'd prefer, there must be younger coaches who've already achieved as much as Hodgson has in his career, i'd have rather gone with a good young manager with potential.

But the board didn't want a fighter.

What gets me too is that the media seem to be reporting it as if his appointment is welcomed by all reds, like he's the man we want. I've not seen anything representative of what i've been reading and hearing form other fans, same old same old i suppose, they will report LFC in the way they want it to be seen, and not the reality of what is actually happeneing.

Yes but you guys keep missing the point. They cost more and they are unlikely to come to a club that doesnt have a pot to piss in. Even if it is Liverpool
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Lets be honest, we don't know the cost or if they'd have come, because the club have'nt even tried, Hodgson was the 'nice' choice for them, that's all they care about, an easy life till they **** off with the money.

I just hope the players don't keep us dangling if their intention is to leave, just do it and do it quick.

apparently balague was on talksport today saying that torres is pissed off with the appointment of hodgson and will look for a transfer, mash is to hand in a transfer request and that ste wanted the king to return and so will look for a move to madrid. havent checked his web page or anything yet to confrim this be true.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Heard him, never heard that though, all i heard when asked how they would react to Hodgsons appointment was....,a chuckle..then he said..."there is a BIG question mark".

You know, it's like they appoint a manager so uninspiring, but one they'd get away with as a viable manager for lfc without it looking ridiculous, just so the players choose to leave of their own accord, job done....more cash.
