Chelsea season ticket holder I know has said easily the best bit of business this summer so far - he's gutted to see him come to us!

"I thought about the Champions League semi in 2005 when I ran on to the field and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up," said the ex-Chelsea star.

"I was thinking about playing in that atmosphere every week and that swung it for me," added the 28-year-old Cole.

Oh **** - he obviously hasn't been to Anfield to watch a Premier League game recently.

        great interview from Cole there

If he stays injury free he could be one of the best signings we have made in a while.

Harry Redknapp has revealed that new Liverpool signing Joe Cole had "wanted to come to Tottenham".
Cole, 28, joined the Reds on a free transfer this week after he was released by Chelsea in May.
"I spoke to him a month ago and I thought he was coming here," said Tottenham manager Redknapp, who managed the midfielder at West Ham.
"He wanted to come to Spurs. He'd made his mind up - I had no doubt. But a month went by and Liverpool moved in."
England international Cole signed a four-year deal with the Anfield club and will reportedly earn £90,000 per week.

How well will Spurs do this season?
Meanwhile, Redknapp believes Tottenham could win the Premier League this season.
The 63-year-old helped Spurs to their highest Premier League finish last season, with fourth spot also guaranteeing the club a place in the Champions League.
"I feel we could contend for the title; we have got the players here," added Redknapp.
"We have to aim for it. We could win the championship.
"Last year, we went in saying we wanted to finish in the top four and if you don't aim for things, you have no chance."
However Redknapp, whose only signing of the summer so far is Brazilian midfielder Sandro, said he would need to strengthen the squad in order to challenge strongly on both European and domestic fronts.

I feel that, if we can bring one or two players in, it will make a difference
                Harry Redknapp
"The Champions League is massive - forget budgets - we just want to be there," stated Redknapp.
"If we can get into the group stages, we can make an impact. We have good players - some fantastic ones at our club. And they can get better.
"We are going to have to rotate at times - we cannot play the best players all the time. I feel that, if we can bring one or two players in, it will make a difference.

Well obviously he didn't want to go to spurs harry you bung taking idiot! First top 4 finish and they think they are going to win the league my god!

Demented old fool. This is what he said a couple of days ago:

"I got a lovely message from Joe to inform me of his decision.

"He explained it. I think he wants to move for football reasons. He wants to be part of a transformation at Liverpool. I think maybe getting away from London and a clean break was part of it too."

Is this latest 'better offer' piece about appeasing your own fans that you lost out on a real quality player. maybe better offer is your way of admitting he's joining a better club?

Make your mind up Harry eh..

Read a piece with Robben saying about our signing of Joe Cole:

"With an offensive trio consisting of Gerrard, Torres and Cole I believe that Liverpool will again become a factor in the Premier League. Last season was a strange one for them, but if those three find each other on the pitch, I think they can play for the championship.

It would be hard for me to find an offensive with three players that are better than them, and here I count in Barcelona's offensive."

and he goes on a bit and states that if Cole get's to play central for LFC he will be lethal in creating chances for Torres and scoring himself.

                    Big words from Robben

It's a bit rich of that diving, whinging tawt to label Torres, Gerrard and Cole offensive.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
