Absolutely bloody delighted about this, always had my suspicions that he'd end up here at some point!

Seem to remember him speaking VERY highly of us when he was in the studio for a Champions League match at Anfield.

I noticed that at the time and it was the main reason i was optimistic we'd sign him. He seemed genuinely blown away by the atmosphere and was raving about the club despite his current team playing us in a key game.

Pretty happy with his signing. Let's just hope that's not it and we've only got further departures to look forward to. If Mascherano goes surely we'll need to sign a LB, CM and a back up striker for Torres.

I actually think he'd be a fantastic replacement. I've always been impressed with his passion on the pitch. Remember a HUGE tackle he put in on our very own () Joe Cole:

He's got a couple of years left in him at least, and it would allow us to spend a good portion of the transfer fee on an attacker.

Works incredibly hard. Great tackler. Good passer of the ball. Scores more goals than Mascherano. English, and premiership proven. And he's shown at West Ham that he can step up and take responsibility.

Absolutely made up with Cole. I remember a feature on Sky Sports last year where they interviewed Chelsea players and they all said Cole was the most skilfull player at the club. He's exactly what we need

To be honest I don't think I care. I just care that we have got in an excellent footballer, with creativity and movement as two of his biggest assets (something we have been crying out for, for ages) and we seem to have done it with very little fuss.

While he is undoubtedly a good player I do have a couple of worries - one about fitness the other about whether he will offer much as much of a goal threat as Yossi. If he keeps fit he will be a more rounded player than we have had for that type of role certainly and I guess Jovanovic adds another goal threat compared to last seasons squad.

Maybe not but he should certainly be more of a creator than Yossi. Do we care if he doesn't score as many goals as Yossi if he creates more goals than Yossi scored for other players?

We do need a LB and sharpish too, the only one I can think of that's available is Bridge.

Trying to think about players abroad that would could go for, not sure who's out there.

Obviously our budget is very limited but here are some names:

My old boss insures load of PL footballers and when I mentioned Joe Cole earlier he came back with the Parker info. Nothing more than we've made enquires to his agent.
