Jesus. We have absolutely zero creativity Lucas is so so ordinary.

Ngog, Amoo, Eccy..all nowhere near the required class upfront. But i guess thats what pre season games are for, to sift out the **** from the gold.

Not really, to make judgements from preseason games is just silly, especially as they are almost all reserves and this is only the 2nd friendly. The point of these games is to help get the players match fit for the season

What exactly are you expecting Lucas to do? He is playing DM. Think will you.

A bit, Eccelstone has had problems with his final ball though, that has limited all our attack.

Considering most of these players wont be featuring in our first team most of the time, there's little importance attached to them getting sharp or fit for the season. The ones who take to the field on 15th august are the ones who will need to be fit and sharp - and they're the ones who are back on the 5th, and will have a mighty 10 days to get themselves ready.

Preseason doesnt mean anything in terms of results, but in terms of sharpness and the ability to perform and play well (to show you're ready to go for the season), they mean an awful lot and like last year, where our **** preseason was a trailer to how we played when the real thing kicked off, this preseason is looking decidedly ****e.

I must admit, I am worried about our lack of first team players in these games.

Exactly. People have to remember that they have been getting run into the ground prior to these games. Kaisers* may do it differently to us.

And as you say, this is like LFC reserves plus a few seasoned pros against a decent German side. Would have been nice to win as it would have been great for confidence, but it's not essential.

Roy said prior to these games that the level of the opposition was a little out of our league and that may well prove to be the case.
                    Forwards.......

Im not making judgements. Im stating facts.

Lucas is an ordinary footballer. He has been since he arrived.

We're playing ****ing Kaiserslautern FFS. He should be running the midfield against these no marks.

They're all playing like they have no idea out there, no cohesion at all.

No you are being facetious and making vapid statements.

Oh and learn the difference between opinion and fact, you should have done that in first History in school.

And Lucas is in midfield with Spearing and Eccelstone, wtf do you expect him to do?

I agree the pre season doesnt mean a thing in terms of results. It is great for Roy to be able to look at the youngsters and fringe players during this period

You need to get your rhythm and shape going though, in order to carry it through to the league games when that starts, so that it's almost seamless.

Again I agree, but the core of the team is absent this pre season.
