Plessis and Nemeth should count as homegrown so the could at present take up the other two homegrown spots (in PTP's list) if we don't sign anyone else who qualifies (similarly Insua would count, if that deal doesn't go through). As was said before there's no point including players U21 as they'll just take up places in the squad and we can use them anyway.

Neither of them count as homegrown. Plessis was 19 when he signed so he's not homegrown, another reason why he should be sold...Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostPlessis and Nemeth should count as homegrown so the could at present take up the other two homegrown spots (in PTP's list) if we don't sign anyone else who qualifies (similarly Insua would count, if that deal doesn't go through). Nemeth is still only 21 so he doesn't have to be included in the quota does he? But he was 21 in January so he misses out on being homegrown by 6-7 months...
Insua signed in January 2007 so he just had enough time to spend 36 months with us...

You're allowed up until the end of the season in which the player turns 21.
Nemeth turned 21 last season, and signed in summer 2007 so has completed 3 seasons, 07-08, 08-09 & 09-10
Insua also turned 21 last season and signed in summer 2007 so the same applied to him also.
My mistake on Plessis he's 22 and has only been here 2 seasons (I thought he was only 21), so he won't count. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

According to Darren Lewis, on SSN, Roy has the makings of a very god squad and Ngog will develop into a good player. Roy is confident enough to pay him last night instead off torres.
Roy's doing everything right, for me, so far but how are we much different to last season squad wise, yet? Why am I still surprised when sky spout bollocks?

If Torres had been even remotely available for last night then he would have a point. In reality though that's a really stupid thing for him to have said.Originally posted by paulg View PostAccording to Darren Lewis, on SSN, Roy has the makings of a very god squad and Ngog will develop into a good player. However, I think Ngog could turn into a pretty useful player. He got a very hard time last season when he was doing an almost impossible job, and being played in a system that certainly didn't suit or help him.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

Has he brought religion into the training sessions?

I actually think last season did him a lot of good and that the role he played is the role that he will eventually be suited to. The real problem was the amount of pressure on him and the poor supply and support from midfield. Given that I thought then and still think he did pretty well last season.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostIf Torres had been even remotely available for last night then he would have a point. Hopefully this season if we can pick and choose the games he plays a bit more and Gerrard, Aquilani and Cole can link in midfield then he will continue to progress."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I like Ngog and feel he was harshly treated last year. Sky, however, and the Daily Mirror don't bother to think they just speakOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostIf Torres had been even remotely available for last night then he would have a point. Ngog has always done well as far as I am concerned, considering he is very young and has been used as a lone striker .. 6 years off when traditionally strikers reach there prime, he ball retention skills are excellent and he has good instincts for the way to the back of the net.. the only real success story from out reserves of recent times I would suggestAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt.
