      Nice find!

Two months after Istanbul, and he was running in the junior sprints. Makes me feel old.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Just wondering about how some of the individuals played that we don't see week in week out

the team looks very direct in its style of play. The ball gets played forward or wide very quickly and its something that we havent seen us do enough.

As for babel, i dont think he's got anything to worry about. Hodgson wont be stupid enough to play him wide left because he doesnt have a left foot and his position will be on the right.

I thought all the lads played well and i have to say Lucas looks a different player and hopefully he can build on this and really get his liverpool career rolling. Spearing also didnt put a foot wrong and did plenty good.

I like amoo or ammo as they called him and his pace is frightening. Looks to get at this man and again that's important because pace scares defenders like nothing else and him attacking his full back will stretch the oppposition defence.

Also have to say that instead of signing another striker to play with torres we should just give ngog a chance because he looks much stronger than last year and his all round play looks much better. His goals today were very good and if anything you could say that torres could play off this guy.

I think he deserves his chance and we'd be stupid to let go of him.

              Thanks El .

Really please that Lucas was captain. Thought he did well and a good vote of confidence from Roy

A very very good showing from the youth department (Amoo, Dalla Valle, Eccleston etc...) I have a feeling we will see more of the young guns in action this year than it was with Rafa and I LIKE IT!!! These guys are hungry to play in the red shirt!

Job well done Roy I was scared of this game! Oh and who are you and what did you do to the old Ngog. Your second was brilliant (a great touch I didn't know you had it in you).

So I read elsewhere that Lucas didn't go so well?

Kelly sounded like he played well ?

The Greek got booed every time he touched the ball ?

Kelly is an outstanding player. Despite all the hype of our other youngsters I really believe Kelly could be one of the best we've produced in a long time. He's maturing faster, mentally and physically, and better than all other players around him. Some of the runs he made down the right were premiership standard, and he's done them in the premiership too before his freak injury last season.
                        One tit for another.

                              Lucas did just fine.

The booing Kyrgiakos received was hilarious, intense, serious booing. Those guys know how to boo.

Roy Hodgson revealed he's given no consideration to the prospect of David Ngog leaving Liverpool this summer after the striker fired a brace in the 2-0 victory over FK Rabotnicki on Thursday evening.

The Frenchman ensured Hodgson's first competitive game in charge got off to a winning start as he helped himself to a goal in each half in the first leg of the Europa League third round qualifying tie.

And afterwards the manager was quick to highlight Ngog's performance.

"I can't stop players being linked with other clubs but I certainly have never discussed him leaving the club," Hodgson told a post-match press conference.

"I think Ngog has done well in the pre-season matches so far. He has worked very hard in the training sessions and today he crowned his performance with two goals.

"I also thought his target play, his general movement and ability to keep the ball was very good too.

"Some players need goals and today he got them. That will be a big weight off his mind because it means he doesn't have to worry too much about them in the coming matches."

The victory in Skopje - achieved without many of Liverpool's World Cup stars - puts one foot in the next round of the Europa League for the Reds.

Hodgson admitted he was enthused by the performance of his players, both young and senior alike in a testing atmosphere.

He said: "I am very satisfied. I think it is a game that could have been very difficult for us. The crowd were fantastic for them and supported them quite brilliantly throughout the game.

"It was a big crowd and some of our players today are not used to playing in front of as many people as that. The booing was magnificent and it felt quite intense.

"I am really pleased about the way everybody went about their business.

"I am very pleased we can go back to Anfield with a margin of victory that will enable us to be a little bit more comfortable there."

He added: "You learn a lot about your team every time you play. I have worked with some of the players, and there are those that I haven't.

"Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger haven't done much training with me, so it was a very good exercise in that respect.

"I am just delighted that so many players who had pressure on them coming into the game - both senior and younger players looking to make their mark - were able to help us secure a positive outcome and can head back to Liverpool feeling good about themselves."

The clash with Rabotnicki represented Hodgson's first game at the helm and he acknowledges expectation levels at a club of Liverpool's stature are elevated.

However, the tactician is relishing the challenges ahead.

"Having taken this job, I think there will be great expectations on my shoulders every time I step into Melwood and every time I take charge of a game," he said.

"I am ready for that because I came into the job knowing the situation and the important thing for me is to build a team capable of meeting those expectations."
