Very early days, and we haven't seen that much of him as yet, but I'd be happy if he was backup to Johnson and at centre half
Aye, he did have a very composed game. I think he represents the sort of player we should be looking to produce. The sort of player I have in mind is someone like Arbeloa - competent in all the basics of the game and able to play in a number of positions.

Be interesting to see how the lad develops as a center back.
Yeah, there was a few times when Carra gave him a bollocksing for being too infield and close to the centre backs...
In fairness as a right footed player that's an instinctive thing to do especially when you're not too familar with tht position.

I've a feeling he'll get games at right back as Johnson is prone to the odd injury here and there so Kelly can step in when needs be.

He looks a cracking prospect. I'd have no qualms about putting him in against arsenal, if needed.

Absolutely. The fact that he is so versatile certainly helps but imo I can see him as a future CB and not RB or LB.

It'll be interesting to see if he could handle such a high profile game but, i have confedance in the lad which tells me he will

pretty fortunate to score here. suspicions of an own goal as well.

Fairly dodgy goal but it went in I guess.

On Kelly, I like him and look forward to seeing him play more, from what I've seen it definitely looks like he can play at this level. He's the kind of player I have no problem seeing him at fullback until the opportunity comes for him to play in the centre. I was particularly impressed with his game against Lyon. One of the reasons I didn't want Luke Young to sign also, as he could stunt Kelly's growth. Although I guess that's a catch 22 as if there's an injury and Kelly proves not to be ready or good enough then we could be in trouble although I feel good about him so taking a chance not a bad option at this point, for me.

Fact of the day: Martin's middle name is Ronald.

                                The new Carra

I can see him getting games at either full back before making CB his own in a few years ala Carra.
