Very powerful young lad indeed. Reminds me of stevie when he first broke through in that regard. He has always impressed me and I think we can think of him as having graduated from "potential" material.
As someone else mentioned it is up to the older heads to give the young lads a steer. Besides Carra balls everybody out

It was obviously to anyone who had half a brain that watched his debut against Lyon last season that he was going to be a good player.
The only question remained whether he would become 'good' enough to play for us on a regular basis.

I think he's answered that unequivically
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I think he's a fair bit bigger and stronger than Stevie was when he broke through. Kelly also endured a couple of similar years to SG, with back problems and growing pains etc.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I know what bawl means. I've just never heard the phrase "bawled him out before" but I've certainly heard "bailed him out" before

Not to build the lad up too much but, if he remains injury-free, potentially our Maldini for the next 20 years!! Just so assured its ridiculous.

He reminds me of Lucio with his long strides and willingness to get forward.

Maldini and Lucio so far. Beckenbauer anyone?

Better than Lothar Mattheus ever was

Don’t forget Babbel who was previously mentioned by someone.

                        Cue one poor performance later…

                        He’s the new Picnik,
                        The new Song,
                        The new Josemi.

Sell him and buy that defender who scored on match of the day last night.

Better in the tackle than Baresi.
