once he decides to put his foot in and takes a more physical approach he could be a real player for us. His vision is undoubted and his talent is there for everyone to see. If he could combine that with more heart he could be a regular for us and Italy over the next 5 or 6 seasons.

Very impressed with jovanovic - i wasnt too sure where he was going to play but he was terrific today and he looks ready for the first team starting. Kelly and johnson attacked and defended well and after aurelio i think kelly is the best option for left back.

If we can get gerrard, cole and torres combining together like we hope they can then we will surprise a few this season. Although its hard to judge the performance against such opposition some of the attacking play was just breathtaking. Something we just havent seen for a while.

**** it - i might even enjoy watching us play this season. Oh and Joe Cole was man of the match.

Hopefully the ankle is good and he regains confidence in it and will get stuck in

Just got back from the match and I have to say that Roy has certainly taken the shackles off..

The creativity was a pleasure to watch but I do worry about both fullbacks against Arsenal..

The link up play between Cole, Milan and Stevie was like they'd been playing together for years..

Ngog is still not good enough imo and with the attacking options we now have, it may be time to look at Kuyt and Babel as striker options again..

Joe Cole will be immense, in this new look, revitalised side but It's going to be hard to pick a starting formation, from this showing.

                Even the corners were great..

Was it just me or did it feel like we had two Steven Gerrard's on the pitch?

Joe Cole looked as much world class as our favourite scouser.

                      1 Question.

Is Ngog good enough for our back up striker?

The Commentator said he should have had 3 tonight and if it was against good opposition he wouldn't get that many chances. So , is he good enough to lead the line for us in Torres's absence or should he be No3 pick?

Pleased but can't help feeling the reaction so far has been a bit OTT. Just had the phone-in on LFC TV on and **** me, it's as if we've just smashed Barca 4-0!

Rabotnicki are absolute dog muck and the worst team I've seen us play in a competitive game for years and years. Remember these are a cut below some of the dross we've faced in the CL qualifiers.

But it was good. Difficult to read too much into it given the standard of opposition but the performances of Cole and Jovanovic were very encouraging. Milan is gonna be a cult hero.

Felt a bit sorry for Dani who was either trying too hard or knackered after the (very) recent tournament. He doesn't look out of place at all though.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It's very much debatable at the moment. I'd certainly like us to bring in someone else for the time being, but I think N'Gog has the potential.

By my calcs, Ngog has a goal every 162 mins in his #LFC career. Better than 1 in 2 ratio (180 mins) and he doesn't take pens to boost tally

Number 3 pick ideally, IMO, but I like the lad. He keeps improving, seems an honest type with a likeable attitude. A lot to work on still but he can play, make no mistake. Some of the derision he receives is, in my opinion, bloody ridiculous.

Thanks lads. I think we need to either buy another striker as backup to Torres or play Babel or Kuyt as the backup striker and nurture Ngog along
