He reminds me a lot of Aimar, and Aimar was one of my favourite non Liverpool players when he was at his prime during his Valencia days.

I'm not sure in which position Suso will break through though. He looks like a classic number 10, but if he grows a bit and develops more pace in those legs, he can be devastating on the right as well, and that might be where he initially breaks into the first team in a couple of years.

    Special talent.

I think he prefers to play on the left.

First and foremost he has to have the mental attitude which will allow him to thrive because he is going to be targeted as from now on, especially now that the Official site has been putting him in the limelight.
Agree on the website thing but it's anything to distract fans away from the real mess within the club.

My point is Fabregas was filtered into the Arsenal Carling Cup team at 16 and you wouldn't describe him as being phyisically big or strong now, he just has an unbelievable technique and awareness on the pitch to allow him to thrive, basically Fabregas is too good to be kicked or marked out of a game by bigger defenders.

These young players pop up all the time across the world and obviously not all of them fulfill their potential like Fabregas but the fact that he is able to influence reserve team football at the age of 16 shows everything about his mental toughness, if you are good enough and menally strong enough then phisique and body size to strength doesn't come into it.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Towards the end it shows him getting clattered a lot, can see this happening due to his skills and his slight frame

Sounds like the commentator was listening to Phil Collins.

But...looks a great little player, able to make his own space when being harried with a little twist and an intelligent touch, see's the pass and can deliver well for someone so young, and looks very confident, took a few hard tackles too.

All in all a very exciting prospect..

Suso and Pacheo together...for the future of lfc. could be a wondeful kind of football.

I think this kid is close to making a breakthrough, I really do. Good enough = old enough in my books, and his age would not put me off in the slightest. I really hope Roy gives hime some game time in the CC and EL.

Without the doubt. The more I watch him play the more I am impressed especially given his age.

The best players find the time and space to play the ball without getting kicked.

We do still need to hold fire for now though. Give him a least a few months to settle in. I would definitely put him on the bench for some of the Carling Cup games down the line if we progress and maybe even some of the Europa games. We need to fast track him, give him a taster, but not rush the lad too much.

Liverpool's permanent addition of young Spaniard Suso has provided instant rewards, with the starlet scoring a competitive debut goal for the second string.

The teenager rifled in a 25-yard equaliser against Newcastle in the North East last night, playing ninety minutes for the Liverpool reserves and impressing with his all round display for the Reds.

Suso signed on a permanent basis from FC Cadiz this summer after impressing during a trial, and Jesus Joaquin Fernandez Saenz De La Torre joined on a scholarship programme to the delight of the coaching hierarchy.

"Suso is a class act, there's no doubt about it," said reserve team boss John McMahon prior to his man of the match performance against the Toon last night.

Fellow youngster David Amoo grabbed the deserved equaliser for the Reds, as a youthful looking side showed much promise in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North clash.

The Magpies went in-front early when Philip Airey converted a penalty. Suso's rocket pulled the merseyside club level before Samuel Ameobi put the Toon back in-front in the second half. Amoo's deflected equaliser with ten minutes remaining earned the share of the spoils.

A crop of young prospects have already started to make their name at Anfield, and with injuries blighting the forward line at Liverpool the Kop faithful could be calling for an early look at 'the new Torres'.

Shouldn't really call him the new torres.
