Whats up with us and Juventus? We seem to be constantly selling or linked to selling players back and forth. We should make them our official feeder club once we get a wealthy sugerdaddy owner and call them LFC Juventus.

OptaJoe: 136 - Alberto Aquilani set up a goal every 136 minutes - the best assist rate in the top five leagues in Europe in 2009-10

        Ridiculous.

So the question for me is: After loaning out our most creative player, is Roy going to be able to get one of the most statuesque teams in PL to now move about and create space for each other, pass and move, pass and move?

Should of added: Or is Joe Cole's creativity going to be enough to get one of the most statuesque teams in PL to now move about and create space for each other?

So presumably we'll now be looking to bring in a new midfielder as it looks like we'll have Gerrard, Lucas, Poulsen, Mascherano (for now) and Spearing. If Mascherano leaves we're very limited.

I've a horrible feeling the Parker rumours are about to start up again

Ace, one of our two creative central mids has gone. God help us if Gerrard gets injured.

If this move enables us to bring someone else in, then fair enough.

But if not, i dont see the point. What are we achieving on it? If we're taking him off the wage bill, that should allow us to bring someone in and pay their wages from this. If not, then i dont see what we gain.

No point to this unless we have someone lined up

He wouldn't have been playing now anyway, autumn is just around the corner and Aqua would've had a runny nose and been excused from sports with a note from his mum.

A HERO WILL RISE ALBERTO AQUILANI

If Aquilani and Mascherano leave then it leaves us woefully short in midfield, if Mascherano stays then we have effectively swapped Aquilani for Poulson and while I rate Poulson there are very different players.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I just don't see how it would enable us to bring someone else in, we don't exactly seem to have alot of money to spare. Maybe we've got a couple of million loan fee but that won't buy us a replacement, even with what's knocking about in the kitty.

Did you expect us to have more possesion with a man (or two) less?
Exactly. The usual suspects are keen to big up Arsenal when they played half a game against 10 men, nearly ten minutes of which was against just 9 men. And yet their first shot on goal - apart from two free pots at goal from free-kicks outside the box - came in the 86th minute.

In the first half they created absolutely nothing and seemed clueless when they got within 30 yards of goal, so no through balls, no chances, no goals

I wouldn't mind playing them every week apart from the fact that I'd get a sore neck from following so many sideways passes by them from one side to the other and back again before the moves inevitably break down

If we'd had 11 on the pitch for the full match I think it's highly likely we would have won by a couple of goals. There are far more positives for us after that game than there are for Arsenal
