      what a pisstake that is.

I think though to be honest, thats the best way for us to get maximum sale value.

think its fair to say he just hasnt settled in our league and if we can loan him to italy and he has a great season we may get most of our money back?

I am reading between the lines and i think its a saving face exercise. IF he goes on loan he isnt coming back imo.

I think a few of us have seen this coming for a while, but hoped he'd settle and prove his worth. Unfortunately, he's rapidly turning into a player whose absence we'd barely even notice.

i reckon it could be a good move for us. if he actually goes and does well, no harm done, bring him back.

He'd still flop in the PL.

****ing hell, what a terrible signing.

Looks like the club and the doctors have decided he's a crock and the leagues too physical for him. So loan him out now and hope that some Italian or Spanish team pay a decent fee for him next summer

****ing joke. Next time someone asks why Rafa got sacked, tell them £20m on Aquilani and £20m on Robbie Keane. Theres your ****ing answer. Thank you very much

                    Cant argue with that V.

£40m is absolutely astronomical money for us to spend. Equivalent of Aquilani and Keane, or two Nandos

Imagine what we could be doing now, with 2 other world class players in the side.

I think on the whole Rafa did well for us with his transfers, having to wheel and deal all the time and making incremental improvements in the squad. However Keane and Aquilani were two absolute howlers and there's no defending either of them. Okay Keane wasn't Rafa's first choice and all that, but the buck has to stop with him on that one unfortunately.

I think one day Rafa will come out and explain both transfers and maybe we'll be able to understand them a bit better, what with potential mitigating circumstances - but they were **** ups regardless.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I still think he wasn't given any proper chance to prove his worth. Yes all the injuries, viruses etc but he is a good player and I personally would keep him.

Regardless of everything he still gives us more depth on the bench (it is not like we will get a replacement if he is loaned..) and could definitely step in and replace Joe and/or Stevie if there is any need.

                        Pity really..

                          Aquilani says no to Napoli

Alberto Aquilani's agent has attempted to put an end to rumours the Liverpool midfielder could move back to Italy this summer by describing his latest potential switch as "unfounded".

The 26-year-old has been constantly linked with a return to his homeland during the transfer window after a difficult first season in the Premier League.

The former Roma playmaker has been touted with a return to the Serie A club, as well as the likes of Juventus and now Napoli.

But Aquilani's agent, Franco Zavaglia has put to bed speculation over the Italian's future by insisting he is staying with the Reds.

                          Dreams
"Alberto to Napoli? These are absolutely unfounded voices," Zavaglia told CalcioNapoli24.it.

"There are plenty of dreams. Dreaming costs nothing, but it is not a viable hypothesis.

"Aquilani is a Liverpool player and will remain in England.

"He's respected by new coach Roy Hodgson, and this will be his year of consecration in the Premier League.

"I also deny the unconfirmed reports that he will return to Roma."

Aquilani made 23 appearances for Liverpool in an injury-stricken campaign last season but still managed to score two goals and provide four assists.

The Azzurri international has played in Liverpool's two Europa League games so far this season and could face Trabzonspor on Thursday night.

Shame really as he clearly has the potential to be a top player but 2 managers clearly don't think he can do it for us in the Premiership what with his clearly non exsistent imune system and the ball isn't made of made of cotton wool he'll break down almost everytime he's on the pitch!

Real shame but we'd be best looking at getting him off the wages elsewhere and look for a deal come next summer if we are just not going to use him.
