    Rafa on Sky Sports News

Did anyone see his news conference? Man he looked tired and up against it.

I think he's made errors of course. I didn't like some of the players he brought in this Summer, and I don't much like rotation whether we're winning or losing.

But he looked not himself at all

Its the most downtrodden I've seen him since he came here.

So for all our unhappiness at the moment with results and performances, I say lets unite behind Rafa.

Sure we can moan and discuss stuff here on a forum with our mates. But he's one of us, he's been very successful for us, and its at times like now when he needs us the most.

I'm not going to go in for the hero worship stuff. He'll make mistakes and has done. In discussion I'll point them out because its what a forum is designed for.

But Rafa's one of us now. I think he's finding life hard at the moment. It shows in his face, and in his eyes.

It's up to us to stand with him now and give him the support his record deserves.

If he is finding times hard, its our job to give him the will to succeed and put everything right.

Here's to Rafa, warts and all, our most successful manager for many a year.

      Well Put!

Yup, this is my lowest ebb in his reign. Here's to walking through the storm. Starting with these pretenders on Wednesday!

        Well said.

Rafa did say that the Manure game was maybe the worst day he's had as manager since he came to the club. I desperately want the see the guy succeed in the Premiership.

If he's downbeat at the moment you know that he's going to work hard to put things right. Hopefully some of the players lend a helping hand.

Maybe Montse will suck him off before dozing off tonight.

I understand your post and thoughts Alun. But just like I didn't feel too upset for GH I don't for Rafa. If its gettin too much, leave. Plenty would swop places and for much less money, I would for nothing. He's set up for life financially, he's in a priviledged position, its his job to manage the club, if he feels it too much for him, or the pressures are too great then he should go. People struggling to make ends meet who have a family to support, who's jobs hang in the balance get my sympathy. It is only a game after all. Its supposed to be fun. A form of entertainment. That was my main gripe with Houllier.

think you've gone a bit too serious there, and suggesting situations that may not even be anywhere near the truth.

For what it's worth he he get's my sympathy, from his interviews he's only ever wanted to 'make the people happy' things aren't going right for him, and I think he feels worse for the fans, than he does himself or his players. Unlike some ego driven managers.

The same as Houllier, who also had my sympathy at the time.

Houllier never once had my sympathy during his entire reign. I do on the whole like Rafa but there are similarities between the two. Their approach to football isn't that far apart imo.
