I suspect when we sold him and got in someone cheaper and less good people would change their minds again. As notably happened when we sacked Rafa and it was apparent we were not looking to replace him with a top level manager."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

It's so funny to see everyone slagging off the players-- Lucas, Kuyt, Jovanovic-- but let's be honest, they were put in a position to fail and look ****. The system was a disaster, no one had support and our wingers didn't sniff the touchline all night because they were inside trying to bail out Lucas and Gerrard, who were often in 2 v 4 situations. It was a miracle we got the ball into the final third at all. So, I have a hard time blaming our players when they were set up to fail.
That said, I would love to see us get some wide players with guile and pace instead of two aging , hard working players who bull their way forward, but I've been saying that for years and, Mostar aside, have received very little support-- everyone clattering on about work rate, etc.
Give me the keys to this team and I will make us champions.

Been twice and been bored out my brains both times. Also yet to see us score at Eastlands. Refused a ticket this year, was not paying forty quid to sit in a plastic chair surrounded by City fans and be bored to tears.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post
Been to their new ground three times and haven't seen us score a ****ing goal.
Thank ****.

I don't think anyone has disagreed that we need to bring in at least one creative wide man. I'd prefer two myself, but could manage if we played the likes of Maxi and Babel as first choice.Originally posted by BrooklynRed View PostThat said, I would love to see us get some wide players with guile and pace instead of two aging , hard working players who bull their way forward, but I've been saying that for years and, Mostar aside, have received very little support-- everyone clattering on about work rate, etc.
Better still, sell Kuyt and get Turan in. Then play Turan as first choice along with one of Babel or Maxi, with Jova in reserve.Forwards.......

Formation was so awful that we really had no chance.
Hopefully Roy learned from his mistake and will not try to pair Ngog and Torres and/or play Kuyt and Jova in the same formation. Lucas definitely tried but he is just not good enough to take over Masch's job on his own.
I really would hope Roy takes some serious look to our winger situation and put at least Arda's acquisition in some perspective.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI don't think anyone has disagreed that we need to bring in at least one creative wide man.
