He set Nando's goal up at OT last season.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

fair enough, although setting a goal up doesn't have to mean he had a decent game. It could have been his only contribution. In fact wasn't it last season he ****ed up when through on goal or failed to shoot when it was harder not to? They all merge into one these days.

      He won't be missed.

I think the Brum game is where we'll miss his battling the most.

Anyway it matters little since Torres will hit 6 in those two games and show the world he's back to his best.
I like Maxi and hope he does well, but with Kuyt you always feel he has a big goal in him.

Against Evra and probably Nani, I’m sure Johnson would prefer to have the protection of Kuyt in front of him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

aye, I'll give you the protection part. I was only thinking of ball retention and of having an attacking threat.

He does have a goal threat in him apart from that particular game, he's a passenger on that massive pitch.

Kuyt is fantastic against the top sides, it's against the lesser sides where he is sometimes lacking. He'll be missed against United, but Maxi is no mug.

I had high hopes for Maxi pre-season, but as the season approached I started to wonder if he might actually even get a chance.

Well here it is. As much as I love Dirk, if you made that position your own, no one could have any complaints.

It's about time. Finally he'll have a chance to start and I hope he delivers in a big way.

That is if he actually does start. We don't really know if Roy rates him yet. Cole could maybe play there with Gerrard in the hole and Poulson and Meireles in midfield. Pacheco could maybe even push for a start. It would be a sickening blow for him though if he didn't get the nod.

I actually can't remember him being injured before this. Is this his first one since joining us?

With Cole unavailable I really don't see how he will not start against BCFC unless Roy decides to use Babel instead. Pacheco will not be ahead of Maxi in packing order but I do agree if he does not get a nod than Roy doesn't see him more than a fringe player.

Forgot about that. Aye, I suppose Babel is another option.

Medical staff says he is out for four weeks, missing the games against Birmingham, Steua, ManU, Northampton, Sunderland and probably Utrecht.

                                Very disappointing.
