I had high hopes for Maxi pre-season, but as the season approached I started to wonder if he might actually even get a chance.

That is if he actually does start. We don't really know if Roy rates him yet. Cole could maybe play there with Gerrard in the hole and Poulson and Meireles in midfield. Pacheco could maybe even push for a start. With Cole unavailable I really don't see how he will not start against BCFC unless Roy decides to use Babel instead.
