You say Ngog and not Torres when Ngog has held the ball up and looked alright and Torres has ****ed up almost every touch

I don't mind N'gog but he's been at his worst in the first half - clumsy, indecesive, lacklustre and all the rest but he's by no means alone there.

Torres isnt fit but he wont get fit by not playing,We need another man in the middle,Lucas is having a poor day as are most but to be honest Poulsen was hopelessly off the pace on thursday so he can't be the answer just yet.

regardless of formation or personel, this was always going to be a tough game. Thery have quality players, but unlike us they're not carrying/recovering from injuries and are at the peak of their games. Take Tevez, Johnson & Milner for example. If Torres, Gerrard and errr??? were at their best we'd look a much better team. Until Roy has this and ships out the unhappy Masher/Kuyt? we're going to have to struggle on. Long term, certainly by Christmas I'm confident LFC will look much like a team with Roys stamp on it. How many weeks has he had with the first team to get his ideas across? Yet some of the comments are unreal so far.

A defeat isn't the end of the world. We were never going to win the league this year. This game and even the Utd one coming up shouldn't define our season.

The formation isn't working and that's at least partially to blame for the rest. More fight is definitely required though.

We need to play with tempo, pile on the pressure and pile bodies into the danger area, before that will happen.

There's a very good reason why nobody plays 4-4-2 any more and the last 45 minutes gave an excellent demonstration of why that's the case. If we don't change the system in the second half we're ****ed.

City got a very soft goal and then never really threatened and yet we just look toothless and outnumbered in midfield. I'd take off Ngog, push Gerrard forward and have Poulsen at DM. The alternative is defeat
