Liverpoool v Man City Post Match thread

Very poor performance and team choice.

Playing 2 front line stikers together and leaving SG and Lucas alone against that City midfield was a very bad move. Roy definitely should have gone for Poulson in midfield and SG in the hole.

No positives to pick out, but I thought Skrtel and Jovanovic were exceptionally poor.

We need to smash the baggies next week to get some confiednce back.

CraigH summed it up for me in another thread... heartbreaking tonight for so many reasons...

We really do look like we are going to have an even harder season than last year...

Man City - Liverpool Post match

Say what you want about Rafa but he woulda strangled the **** outta that and got a 0-0 or 1-1, and rightly so. 442 against those lot away from home is ****ing madness. They got lucky in the timing of their goals tbh, thought it was a foul by Richards and no ****ing way was that a pen, and if that was us it woulda bounced in off the post and off Reina's head. FFS. **** off

It was a clear pen, but otherwise, i agree with the rest.

For those wathcing Sky post match, did Angy Gray criticise our man-to-man marking or the sencond goal? We never would have conceded that using zonal.

Not just tonight, it's been heartbreaking looking at our fabulous club for quite a while now.

Nah, he tackled with the foot least likely to get the ball - and he didnt get it.

Stupid challenge to make, he was never getting there first and he's not a kid who doesnt know better - utterly idiotic 'tackle'.

Jova looks like a pub player on that performance! We know Kuyt can't play in a four and the same probably can be said for Jova.

Crap performance. Please no more 442, unless we suddenly steal a couple of good wingers.

Glenn Johnson was absolutely shocking out there, him and Kuyt should have been hauled off for an embarrassing performance.

Roy better sort this crap out quick

Fair enough. Nothing new from Skrtel really is it

Spurs dominated City by playing 4-4-2. Granted they played at home, but the ball is still round and the goals are the same size.

Difference? They have more quality in their team.

**** it we were **** and got what we deserved. Roy was tactically all over the shop and better get his act together ASAP. BUT what else do we expect when the club is in the state it is today. We have spent close to nothing and had to sign bosman's. We are never going to compete at the top of the table while the two cunts are still here.
