He's a mediocre manager, thats obvious but he hasnt destroyed the club, he's just a bad symptom of the cancer we have.

As i say i don't think he'll have quite the impact some think - the hype when we signed him was a little OTT imo but at the same time i don't think he'll be a huge disappointment - like i still think he'll produce moments of magic and create and score some goals.

it may be that Roy isnt good enough to manage us however he is the manager and its not been long since he started with this group of players.

We are a club on a downward trajectory at the moment. It seems to surround the whole club. We need new owners an injection of cash into the squad. I do think a better manager but without the injection of cash we are going nowhere. Over a season i cant see us being good enough for 4th. I know that sounds negative but remember we havent been good ofr over 12 months and currently under two different managers. I know we still have players who pushed 2nd but since then we have got weaker and others have got stronger. The only other club who are weaker as well are the scum. Without money the problems in the squad wont be solved to push us back up the table. The motiviation of the squad doesnt look to be there either, i am not basing it on just the last few games but for over 12 months and thats what worries me.

Will all this surrounding the club i am not sure what more Roy can do. I would like to see more attacking yes but are the players we have at the moment up to that?

          Depressingly no.
I don't see why it's negative. Why would anyone have 4th as a realistic target for this year? New manager with no cash injection, constant off field bollocks, world class player sold and replaced by cheaper and inferior alternative...

            Are you serious?

You can't see how the current ownership have ruined our club?

Hodgson deserves time to imprint his methods but the worrying thing is that he doesn't seem to assert himself enough during matches. That said, 0-0 away from home against Brum under the circumstances isn't that bad.

How do you know he's not going to be an improvement, he's only been in charge for a few games.

I'm going to lay my cards on the table here and say that Roy is going to be a success, I firmly believe that. He had Fulham playing some decent attacking stuff, they used to press the opposition hard all over the field and he WILL get us playing like that I've no doubt about it.

He needs time to build on what he's got, it is unfair for fans to judge him and the team's performances based on what we've seen so far, totally unfair.

Over the next few games we will improve. Torres looked better today, Reina was fantastic and the rest of the team will only get better. The team is extremely low on confidence at the moment and need to play some decent stuff and get a few wins under their belt, I'm confident that the belief will soon return to the squad.

To be honest, I thought Torres was shocking today. Misplaced passes, no movement and very bad body language. I hope it's down to all the travel he did during the week, otherwise it's very worrying.

great post mate. I agree 100%.

I just wish Roy would order Johnson to shave his head so he stops ****ing messing with his hair during the game.

His movement was better and he seemed to improve as the game went on which is a positive.

It is difficult for him as defenders are on to him like a shot now and he's mostly up there on his own and it's a hard role to play for the team. I'm just pleased to see him back to be honest mate, he's not pulled up injured for what seems like an age so fitness wise that is a boost and is encouraging for those around him.

He will be ready for those cunts on Sunday just as he is every other time we play them, I just hope those around him can put on a fight against Utd and start to believe in one another and show some much needed confidence is each other.

We need a team of fighters for next Sunday's game who will approach the game positively and get the foot in otherwise we will end up being annihilated by United's Midfield.

Johnson does need to sort his hair out, he looks like ****ing Rick James with that barnet!

I don't think he's had the easiest of starts, what with the Masch fiasco, Torres coming back from injury, Internationals and opening games agains Arse and City.

4 or so new signings expected to slot straight in, Joe Cole out for three games..

A bit early to judge to be honest and given all of the above, that would be a massive challenge, for any new manager coming into the club.

Apart from United away, we have a nice run, right through till the end of October.

I think we'll have a better idea of his ideas by then..

                            ..
I think this is the key point here.

We have had a far tougher start than Spurs or man City and after the away game v the Mancs at the very worst we are only going to be three points off them.

If we were in a position to fight for the title I'd be very depressed at this stage, but we knew this was never going to be the case this season. We are fighting for a top 4 finish and our two main rivals for that are Spurs and City. We need to keep pace with them and luckily we are level on points with them despite a very poor start.
                            Forwards.......

The mistake was sacking Rafa, the mistake wasn't then appointing Roy. IMO.

The club has made a significant downgrade in where its pitching itself in the league, this is the situation we're in. Roy fits this thinking.

We are **** and thats down to over 2 years with zero real investment into the playing staff. We have turned a profit in the transfer window again and you cant do that. Rafa or Roy it doesn't make a difference with those two cunts running the club into the ground. Don't blame Roy.
