Whilst i understand his frustration, he is a big part of how we can fix the problems - he needs to man up, step up and stop being a crybaby when things arent going his way.

He also needs to stop trying to do everything by himself - some of his play yesterday was just plain stupid.

What did JR say after the game?
We get cut off here as soon as whistle is blown...

Not sure exactly as I chose to turn off straight after. I did hear them discussing it on the radio this morning and they he said he called him "diabolical".

Redknapp:Torres’ performance as “diabolical” and went on to say: "I'm his biggest fan but he's shown no appetite for the game. He's looked frustrated, sloppy, lethargic. I know people talk about his rustiness, but he looked fed-up."

Are you serious??? There is no way Torres would give nothing less than 100% when he pulls on that red shirt. He is one of us which is why he is still here.

something is clearly not right on the pitch.

This is just another bit if evidence. There is no movement no link between midfield and attack.

Being a rafa fan i have to say the problems were there last year and luck so far not to have gone away. One reason to bring in a new manager would be to give a lift and that just hasnt happened.

Obvioulsy lack of investment is one reason though thinking out loud Riera in his one good season we looked great. His effect on the team was better than his ability by himself he added width and we had looked narrow before he arrived and since he has left.

Also is the lack of movement caused by lack of confidence? why are our players all so lacking in confidence?

all in all whoever the manager it doesnt look quite right but then thats what Rafa and now Roy have both said.

He shouldnt have committed himself to the club then, and told us he was happy to stay. Once you do that, you're required to give 100%. You cant just say you're happy to stay and then go half-arsed.

He had a frustrating afternoon because of a lack of service, he'd just flown half way around the world (for nothing), is recovering from an injury and hasn't had a proper break after the World Cup, give the guy a break FFS!!
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm backing him to score against the Mancs! (probably only a consolation goal though )

Worrying signs which were all too evident for most parts last season. Our engine room is miles behind what it was 2 years ago when Alonso and Macherano were running the midfield.
                          Are we winning?

so what was yesterdays effort down to ? injured ? tired ? fed up ? if he is as you say one of us then he would see out his contract with us or even better stay for the rest of his carreer......do you think he will be here next season if we have the current ownership?

Your right he shouldn't have .....................but he's what 26 now and at a club which is at the bottom of the financial pit nothing on the horizion to change that and he's probably thinking i'll give it one more season

                                Probably a mixture of being

                                1) Fed up with having so little support upfront

                                2) Not fully match fit yet / sharp yet

Though, he's got to be happy that he doesn't have Benitez on the touchline anymore, so that he can finish games now.
