I couldn't agree more. We need a CB who can play football, someone who can start an attack form defence just like we want attackers who harass defenders and thus defending from the front.

If these comments are true, and we really don't know if some comments have been taken out of context which does occasionally happen with journalists - I know , then it looks like we are going to have to put up with a CB pairing of Carra and Skrtel which is not that appealing. Also it does seem a bit strange following his 'everybody's happy' comment the other week. It also doesn't look good that Roy seems to think Agger is a LB.

Equally worrying is he thinks Konchesky is too.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

On the whole Konchesky had an appalling game yesterday but I thought he steadied himself up a bit from the 15th minutes onwards until half time. He came back second and he was being run ragged by Nani, culminating in him being substituted.

Just looking at him, his body language and his looks, he doesn't smack as a Liverpool player at all. Worrying times.
            Are we winning?

Agger not playing because he refuses to hoof the ball at every opportunity. It does have bullocks written all over it.

To be fair, we tried to keep the ball on the deck at all times against United and only really hoofed when under pressure. It didn't necessarily work as more often than not we ended just up passing it backwards until we had to hoof, but I think the game plan was to try primarily to keep it on the deck and keep possession, which is why possession was roughly 50/50 even though we were away from home to a superior side.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Aside from Carra, who doesn't need to be under pressure to **** the ball as hard as he can up the field. Totally unnecessary in the main
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

If true this is very worrying, we're seen that hoofing the ball forward doesn't work for us, if that's the reason Agger isn't playing then I'd be very very worried.

Hopefully this is nonsense and what he has said has been taken completely out of context.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I agree, but sadly we passed the ball about with no purpose for long periods of the game, inevitably getting nowhere until a United player eventually got close enough to put our last man under pressure or it just went back to Pepe.

If I recall correctly we did actually pass the ball and got as far as the United box at one stage, only to turn back and keep passing back as far as Pepe.

Agger is one of our best players. Easily our best defender. Seeing Konchesky and Skrtel ahead of him each game makes me want to break things. Very cheap things so I can replace them without much trouble, but break them none the less.

Whilst he's not the greatest ball playing centre back, I don't think the did that wrong yesterday though. I think he's having trouble getting used to the new system employed by Hodgson.

Skrtel is not a bad player and he's a long way from being a disaster, as has been pictured in here.
