I did tick the give him time box, but on a daily basis I find myself more and more disheartened. Almost every press conference has "let's try not to get beat" mentality.

Gutted. I still cannot believe that this wonderful club has fallen so far, so quickly.

Has he done his pre-match conference yet for our game tomorrow?

But it doesn't really. He's had MOM nominations for a start. He's been inconsistent, and mostly poor, but he deserves as least a bit of credit.

A player like Aquilani could have brought this to us, sure he didn't defend as hard as most but he moved the ball with pace, with tempo. He played to attack, not to not lose. Also, he was good in the air, he wasn't afraid to get up and win headers, one of his assists were actually from a header back into the area for us. You dont see Poulsen doing any of this. All he offers is the crab walk infront of our defence...
Well Poulsen and Aqua are incomparable, if you want to compare replacement compare Merieles and Aqua, and not Poulsen and Aqua.

Poulsen should be compared to Masch and unfortunately there is no comparison, i'd prefer Poulsen to Lucas too. But Poulsen has been ok, only poor games was Sunderland where he has a stinker. And as for Aqua he had his chance and was terrible in the premier league, much much better suited to playing in Italy and only Italy. Space, time, ballet he should do well there... well if he's not injured. Lets hope he does well so we can recoup some funds back.

We didnt pay £19.4m for Aquilani.

spot on mate, he has had one poor games against Sunderland andin all fairness who else was good in that game. People really have the knives out and for some to say he has been gash is untrue and very unfair. he's no world beater but i agree deserves some credit.

In all honesty I think Meireles and Aqua are different players. Meireles is more like Lucas, box-to-box style player who can get stuck into tackles, runs all day, lates runs into the box and can play a pass. Aqua is an out and out flair player and Poulsen is a **** version of Mascherano.

I do get what your saying mate, personally i think we have concentrated too much on central players and have completely over looked the wide areas for quite some time now.

Aqua can playing deep lying and attacking, Merieles can do the same, Lucas can do the same, Poulsen can't, neither could Masch, thats why i would compare the two, Poulsen will purely be used as protection, a shield for the back 4 but he seems very comfortable in possession, if a bit slow.

Well if you think Aqua is an out and out flair player, and i would agree with you, them surely we should compare him to Joe Cole who is a massive upgrade and is also more versatile?

Roma released the figure sin their books, someone posted it on here, and Aqua wages were £85,000 grand a week. So How much did we pay for him including wages?
