I certainly didn't. Wasn't a fan but I thought he would keep us steady in the league maybe get a few places higher up the league if lucky with injuries to Torres and Gerrard. As it is even with those two playing we have looked abysmal."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I've said in another thread that although I was horrified from the moment he was first linked to the day he was appointed - and I mean really horrified - I still overrated him. Gave him too much credit. Didn't realise he was quite this bad.
With a squad like ours, last season was about as low as we could go IMO. I obviously wanted the then-manager to be given the opportunity to rectify it, and I believe he would've done, but no way did I envisage Hodgson to be quite this poor. I didn't believe he'd apply his same old ****ty methods to us. I thought he'd try and be a bit more progressive. After all he did talk about pass and move and other stuff. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I never thought he'd be good enough for us, he never had the right credentials to manage our club. Our board wanted us to believe in it, some maybe did, some not. Which were right? It's still early days, Hodgson might do something ala 'Roy of the rovers' we don't know, but who would bet in that to happen at this stage? I'm sure not a lot will.Originally posted by Operation View PostDid anyone, hand on heart, think Roy would be this bad?Are we winning?

I genuinley believed that a combination of new manager, new season, and most players fit and ready to go would have made us really competative early doors. FFS, how wrong was I!!!
I was totally underwhelmed by the appointment and wasn't expecting us to pull up any trees. What we've seen so far has been totally shocking tough, how can so many international players look so totally clueless and uninterested?Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. Aaron Levenstein

What I find odd is that I thought when I saw Fulham they looked neat but dull and defensive, however, everytime I spoke to people who watched them more than me they said they were entertaining and much better to watch than most teams. Here and abouts lots of people go to Fulham as you can get tickets at a decent price and watch decent teams but they aren't really supporters so I thought they would have an unbiased opinion. If I had only had my own view to go by I think I would have been harsher on Roy.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI've said in another thread that although I was horrified from the moment he was first linked to the day he was appointed - and I mean really horrified - I still overrated him. I had thought that some of the neat passing Fulham did show could be made more progressive by using the likes of Gerrard, Cole and Johnson. Instead Roy has managed to shackle all of our players and isolate Torres to an almost comical extent at times."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
