I disagree a bit here as having Ngog on seemed to make a difference (I can only go by the radio) and yes Gerrard and Torres did link up to save us but to be honest where was Gerrard for most of the game because again (only going by the radio) he didn't exactly grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

Oh come on Bob, its not even about the result - that performance, as with every other game we've played in the league this season, was awful. I was no fan of how we played last year, but at least in most games we controlled possession in midfield, just looked to lack real cutting edge and creativity. Now we're a mess all over the park; defence looks like its made of marshmallow, midfield passing is non-existent, creative players look lost, strikers are feeding off scraps.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Posthappy in the fact we were staring down the barrell looking at a defeat and got a point out of it. Not happy as in he'll be having a few beers celebrating ffs. Are you really as thick as you post?
Whatever the media might feed us about the players Roy inherited from Rafa not being up to it, there is no way they aren't better than these performances. We were lucky to come away with a point and for Hodgson to talk about "ending the week on a high" is never going to enamour him to a fanbase which is FAR from convinced he is the right man for the task in hand.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I don't think Roy is brilliant. I do like him though.Originally posted by Icon View PostThought Bob held that mantle...
I just love the way people think its purely down to one formation or the other. If you're best players are out of form and lacking confidence you'll struggle.
What I have realised is that where as last year I thought a new manager would get more out of the team than Rafa was, perhaps I was wrong. The cloud hanging over the club is ****ing whoever is in charge. BUT I'm still happy Rafa ain't here because I was fed up with him and his attitude. So even though the results are poor I'm still watching every game whereas last season I had no fire left in my belly and was fed up with football. Come December I'll know whether I was backing the wrong horse in Roy though.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

He also said this "They have got it on telly with the guy who threw it on and it's got Liverpool crests all over it. What a shame"Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAfter last year when he gave it the whole "sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't", after a ****ing BEACH BALL scored for his team, he has some ****ing temerity to come out with this ****. But it doesn't matter what it would of got us in most of the last 10 years, it's completely irrelevant. What does matter however is what that points total got us last year and that was 7th. I will also beg to differ about the 'we could play football' comment as well because what I saw last season wasn't football which is why my first comment and one that I have mentioned a number of times now in various posts is that I think we really need to look at the players because they wouldn't/couldn't play for Rafa last season and it's seem to be same again this season but for Roy. The main question for me is not 'Is Roy **** or not good enough for us?' it's 'why won't this group of players (bar the new ones at the moment) play football as a team?'Originally posted by Mattshark View PostWith a points total that in most of the last 10 years would have gotten us CL football. We controlled games, we could defend, we could play football. We haven't done those 3 things this season and if that happens you will not do well.

I am certainly not going to let the last 20 mins cloud my judgement. We only looked good because we were chasing the game. The problem is the setup and style of play Roy has us adopting from kick-off. If he doesn't change this approach things will get worse. No doubt about it! There is no excuse for allowing teams to come to Anfield, sit deep and allow them to dictate the play. Unfortunately this is what's been happening every game under Roy so far this season. As the games progress you can see the opposition growing in confidence and for me I cannot accept this.

Drills, control and set pieces.
Passion, direction and support.
I have seen virtually nothing good related to the above from our manager so far.
And December may be way too long to wait...

A: Because Roy is **** and not good enough for us...?
Maybe..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
