its not difficult really, he is hugely out of his depth.

I sit behind dug out and he didnt even get up to try and gee them up, in fact when he did get off his sseat with 5 of the 6 injury time mins left it was to tell Joe Cole to get furhter back. He is so negative its untrue.

We play with 11 behind the ball against anyone. We dont press high up the field ever. We play so deep that we can compete for the 'second ball' as everyone is on the edge of the penalty box, its terrible to watch, terrible.

Witness how many second balls we won yesterday, i reckon about 10% hence conceeding posession to them in our own half regularly.

We simply need to get out and play higher, Roy needs to understand we are not Fulham, and despite the doom and gloom the 11 players on the pitch yesterday are better than 90% of premier league opposition and therfore should be set up to play that way-it as if Roy believes the doom and gloom, 100% those 11 players are better then 90% of opponents in the league, its just Roy sets them up like they are Fulham.

O and Konshesky, lets hope he is out for a long time because Agger is 10 times the player he is even at left back. Why oh Why if we are skint did we spend £3mm on a piss poor LB? Id rather have had Insua, definitly.

I'd like to see how many goals he's scored from open play.

That said, Meireles looks good in midfield so I'd probably move Gerrard up off Torres. I'd keep him there until we signed a player of similar quality.

£8m we can scarcely afford on Poulsen and Konchesky. Both about 30, both ****e.

But when you give both responsibility like that you have to have people who are tactically aware and always switched on

I'd question whether Gerrard is that player these days

Having a player hold is nothing new we did it under Kenny in the 80's when we had Whelan holding and McMahon given far more licence to play forward

Don't forget to add another 2-3m for Brad Jones. Add that up and we could have grabbed a half decent player or two.

A fluid three of Cole, Gerrard and Kuyt behind Torres should be causing teams a load of trouble. Especially if properly supported by width from the fullbacks....

                                Meireles in the deeper position.

If you rule out Konchesky then the rest of the players would have no problem to play a quick pass and move game.

I think that Shelvey is already better than Lucas and Poulsen. He is our best option together with Meireles if you play Gerrard behind Torres in a free position.

Cole our best option on the left.

Pacheco our most creative option on the right.

Give Wilson the chance in his right position. It's time to replace Carra and Skrtel isn't good enough. Wilson and Agger is our best future combination IMO. Start to play them together and we will have an excellent combination for years to come. Two ball playing defenders that is comfortable on the ball.
