If you rule out Konchesky then the rest of the players would have no problem to play a quick pass and move game.

I think that Shelvey is already better than Lucas and Poulsen. He is our best option together with Meireles if you play Gerrard behind Torres in a free position.

Pacheco our most creative option on the right.

Give Wilson the chance in his right position. It's time to replace Carra and Skrtel isn't good enough. Wilson and Agger is our best future combination IMO. Start to play them together and we will have an excellent combination for years to come. Two ball playing defenders that is comfortable on the ball.

I'd worry about that side defensively

Wilson is untried and untested and no way should he be replacing Carragher just yet

Carragher is still one of our best defenders (barring Agger)

Same with Shelvey not convinced hes ready yet

Konchesky and Johnson I think are useless defenders

Fair points but Meireles can play that position all you are asking Lucas & Poulsen to do is HOLD and give it simply to the players around them

The Gerrard thing makes no sense imo

Gerrard got 20 goals in that position
Add half a dozen from Cole from the left and a few from Meireles

You could be talking nearly 30 goals

Cole wont get near Gerrards total in the hole, and Gerrard wont get near 20 goals from central midfield. At best you will be getting 20 goals between them

You'd be better playing my system getting the max goals out of Gerrard and getting Cole to weigh in with his half dozen or so from the left

The type of football we are playing bypasses midfield anyway which kind of makes the need for a quality passing midfield player defunct anyway

That means that it makes it very difficult for them to deliver when they get the chance.

That was one thing Rafa wanted to change. He wanted all our teams to play in the same way, from our youth teams to the senior team. Now Roy has destroyed much of the work Rafa and his youth/reserve team managers did last year.

We need a new manager that play the same system as the rest of our teams do. A quick pass and move system. That is what the club is now built for. There isn't a single one of the rest of our teams that play the way Roy do.
