I was saying earlier in the pub how two years ago our holding midfielders were Alonso and Mascherano... and people say that Rafa was defensive / deluded - grass is greener eh? Stupid cunts wanting Rafa out.

I love LFC, I'm not fickle, but **** me are we hard to watch right now. From top to bottom, we are a right mess. A right mess.

We had a better defence five years ago (Riise and Finnan in their prime were twice as better defensively than anything we've had ever since). Gerrard is now pulled in every-which-way. We've lost one of the best midfield partnerships in the world. We've a manager who hasn't a clue what to do, and a world-class forward who is utterly isolated up top because we have no link between the midfield and him, and our best centre-half is out of the picture because he plays good football.

20-odd international players who on paper look fine, but in real life are proper pony and have no use whatsoever.

We're ****ed. Top to bottom, our club needs to be ripped up and started again.

Knee-jerk you might say? Yeah, I've been watching us for 18-odd years which isn't huge, but I've never felt so low about our club.

... here goes SharkMatt saying 'ah statszzzzzzzzzz' etc etc. Cunts. **** off.

look at other teams most managers dont slate the players after every game even if they are ****e.

there must be a reason for this and it is that he has players he has to try to motivate and actually to get them to play for him.

of course we all want him to say what we see but in his position the truth is you wouldnt. well not if you wanted to get the best out of your players. I know he isnt now but he isnt thinking while talking to the pres oh i know how to take the piss out of the supporters but he is thinking **** this job is harder than i thought its not going well but what i cant do is say the players are doing a **** job as they will put even less effort in for him. you may say that they cant but actually they can.

i think he is doing a crap job but to accuse him of taking the piss is a bit nonesensical to me. Obviously in the heat of the moment we will all go bollocks to what he comes out with but then we do the same for alot of managers.

if it was such an easy job then any one of us could do it the fact is we cant no matter what we think. The frightening thing is we probably know a stupidly small amount compared to a good football manager or even a bad one. its a complicated game its getting more complicated but he isnt a totally talentless manager but the right man for us? it doesnt look like it does it.

but lets stop being personal it doesnt reflect well on us does it?

I am trying (and hope I haven't been overly personal about Roy) the "Toys a cunt" line was supposed to be funny in light of the posters inebriation, so perhaps my humour (as it is) has been missed a tad. However I do believe being great fans does not include applauding poor performances or tactics. Being great supporters does not include sitting quietly whilst the team most of us have dedicated decades of our life to slips further and further from glory.

Personal insults, yep too much. But he is fair game for everything else. And that includes the rubbish he spouts to us in post match interviews. Houllier at the end of his reign was the last time I remember disagreeing so strongly with a managers interpretation of what had gone on the pitch.

FULHAM forward Zoltan Gera admits he is relieved to be free of Roy Hodgson’s shackles.

Hodgson – who led the Cottagers to the Europa League final last season – vacated the Fulham *dugout in the summer to take over at Liverpool.

But the new Anfield boss has *endured an uncomfortable start to life on Merseyside.

Liverpool lie 16th in the Premier League and Hodgson has already been criticised for his rigid and cautious style of play, *particularly away from home. In contrast, new Fulham manager Mark Hughes has introduced a more attacking approach at Craven Cottage.

And Gera admits his side are a more attractive proposition *under the man nicknamed Sparky.

He said “I think we play a bit more open football than last year – it’s good to play in a team like that.

“There are a lot of one-against-one situations during games and the players can do the right things in these situations.

“Players have more freedom to go forward and do what they can for the team, which is good.”

Hughes, who has yet to taste a Premier League defeat as Fulham boss, knows he needs to improve the club’s away form.

Under Hodgson, the London club picked up just one away league win all last season.

Gera added: “We play West Ham this weekend and it’s important to start well against them and frustrate the home crowd.”

Hangeland: "Training is different. Under Roy Hodgson we did a lot on team shape and organisation whereas now we do more 4 v 4s, small-sided games - proper football sessions, some might say."

can you blame him for getting pissed off with us

remember not many wanted him and he will know that

and the critisism he gets is appaling really.

i dont think he believes all he says but in his position there isnt a lot of room for manouver (cant spell sorry).

the enemies are h&g not Roy.

should Roy be manager no. Bigger fish to fry though.

I don't think it is a complicated game, it never has been, but I do agree that he's not the right man for this club.

But I don't think the players are the main problem - HE is, playing players out of position, leaving Agger on the bench, signing poor players, naive and overly cautious tactics and then coming out and continually dampening expectatitions which are at rock bottom. This may be difficult for him - but at least he's is getting paid handsomely, this is difficult for me and I'm paying for it.
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

i didnt think you were calling Roy a cunt i got what you meant. So no worries on that one.

i think we can have a go and say he is talking bollocks but most managers do but yeah we can have a go at him for it. I doubt he believes it all but he has to say something and not something that will make the dressing room worse

we can have a go at him about the tactics the lack of substitutions the lack of progress and many other things but to think he means every word he says to the press and that he is trying to take the piss out of the fans of the club is a bit much for me. This is used for personal attacks. thats what i think isnt on. in a match thread of just after i can understand but to be doing it generally i feel uncomfortable with.

i want Rafa back or Pellegrini but we are where we are

remember people are on his back its going crap he might even know its going to end badly but i dont think he wants a war with us.

                        are we children?

he is a bloke doing a difficult job and out of his depth but i bet he knows we are not a top 4 club at the moment plus alot if not most of us think we are even if we say no we are not deep down underneath we cling to that thought

We are no better than Bolton or Newcastle fans if we hound him out. The on pitch performance will do that soon enough

Almost every manager know that you don't insult the fans. He almost called us fans idiots.
so if you arent satifised now you never will be
That is just not on. He can say whatever he want about tactics etc but you don't have a go at the fans, you simply don't.

If you do that then you are acting like a very deluded idiot because you can never win against the fans, never. If you lose them you're finished.

We have never hounded any manager out simply because they always respected the fans, always. They talked **** and we played **** but they always respected the fans. The manager respected us and we respected him. As it should be.

Roy is the first Liverpool manager that isn't doing that. He is clearly losing it big time. First he argued with a fan in the Sunderland game IIRC and now this.
