I think right now, not knowing anything about the proposed new owners other than what I've read in the last few hours, I'm in the "nobody can be worse than H&G so bring it on" camp. And they do seem to have a decent reputation, which is more than can be said for our current encumbents.

The fact that H&G seem opposed to it, have been trying to block it and sack everyone involved, is an encouraging sign; the less those 2 leeches get out of it the more will be left for our club.

Well, first if they're clearing out the debts, that can only be a good thing. And if as you said Dave, those guys have got a certain flair for making sports teams competitive, it sure is a good sign. When all of this is finished (the sale process), the first thing to do is to search for the best manager around and get rid of Hodgson. Then maybe, buy some good players in January.

I'm still very confused with events since last night. First there was this Mike Jeffries video, fans putting the pressure, then the club statements and late on its impending sale.

I only hope that Broughton & Co. have better judgement than the uninspiring appointment of Hodgson. Thanks for the insight Dave.

they prefer young, intelligent management. choosing good managers and coaches is their best attribute. let's be honest, on the footballing side of things, there really isn't more to be done than that other than signing checks. all they have to do is be able to do those two things better than other owners, and they've proved they can.
