been a couple of months now, and we're days away from the first window? are you feeling positive?

i still think (even though roy is involved) we will do good business in january, or none at all. i still think roy is on his way out, the new ceo will be in place, and together with comolli will select a great manager who will have us back in contention within a couple of years. i'm pretty confident of these things. even if they don't happen right away. even the red sox changed their management team twice before they got what they were happy with. and the results followed.

      I'll not be happy until

      1. Get rid of Roy
      2. Sort out the stadium issues

Even if they weren't throwing money into the team but got both of these done then I'd be fine. I can't see how the club will compete without moving into a new stadium.

To me it's already a major improvement by the fact alone that we hardly ever hear anything about them / from them. It's fan-f*cking-tastic to have owners that again can just focus on running the club and nothing else.

There are still issues to work out of course, but they have only been here some 2-3 months, so time is needed.

For me until we are free of the plague that is Bodge, we have a manager who knows what the **** he's doing and we see how they back him, I can't cooment yet.

I've Bern impressed with how quiet they've been and they came across really well in the recent interview, but not having Bodge terminated yet (despite their probably well-intentioned reasons) counts as a negative.

Stadium and reasonable squad investment are obviously huge factors which we can't comment on yet.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I will let you know on Feb 1st what I think of NESV. That is the day the honeymoon period will well and truly be over.

I think they deserve until September 1st before making any kind of overall judgements and even then would be too soon.

Going on what they've done so far, I've not been impressed at all. But that is down to knowing that Roy is not the man to take us forward. Him still being in charge really does not do them any favours.

But whilst I'm sure that I will slate nesv continually for keeping Roy, it was not their appointment and they should really only be judged on what they do. Sadly for now they are still taking time to settle and surveying the club. I think they've already decided that this season doesn't effect their own long term plan.

A shame, as coming 4th would really give this club the shot in the arm it so badly needs.
              Forwards.......

Not very positive if I'm honest no. I'm not expecting a good window.

                Hope I'm wrong.

But with the right investment and change of Manager in January it is entirely possible. We can do it but NESV must act now!

Tee, it's already difficult. It would take yet another bad run of results for him to get sacked, and I think if we did experience another poor run of results 4th place would likely be impossible.

The only hope we have of 4th is if nesv sacked Roy now - something that's not going to happen. That or Roy suddenly pulls a rabbit out the hat and starts to get results on a concistant basis. We have some easy games now, win them and go into the man utd tie full of confidence. Fluke a win there and it may give the squad the confidence 4th is possible, even under Roy. Few players coming in January and I guess the hope is there. Just highly unlikely.

Undecided, and it will take more than one season and two transfer windows for me to come close to deciding if they are good owners.

Torres arrived early in you know who's reign..and look how they turned out! Long time before i can decide on these.

Very very early signs are...well..non existant really, but they've not had much time have they, hired Commolli, a tried and tested route, but i'm not seeing anything yet that sets them apart...that says to me..yes..these guys ARE here to win, that's what i need proving, i like them; personally, but as to their prowess for making lfc great again; i'll have to wait and see.

                        Well -

                        positives
we don't have any issues/rallies/riots happening because of hicks and gillette - it still does feel like that weight of the debt has at least been lifted of our shoulders and generally off the pitch, things seem well ok......I wouldn't say good/great/amazing - because they haven't done anything yet to gain that but, i am happy because things just being ok, is 1000000x better than it was.

They have conducted themselves very well, and so far have come out saying the right things at the right time

                        negatives -
well we still don't know if they know what it will take, or have what it will take, to make us contenders again...and the big fear is that the longer they leave it, the harder they are making. This includes, everything such as stadium, management and player investment. With the latter being the immediate priorities, and with the January transfer window about to open...well we shall see if they mean business.

A new manager and two or three exciting players and we are laughing....if we stick with roy and go and sign bentley, samba and elmander......we are ****ed because they are clearly clueless
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Also they have kept things in house very well. There's been no leaks yet really. That's a huge plus, and takes us back to how the club used to be run.

This is even more true after the Suarez deal. Not a peep about a deal being agreed until it hit the Offal
