"Well, firstly I must congwatulate David on the way his team pwayed today. It was a good victowy for them. I am pweased that we only conceded two goals as this is a difficult place to come" etc

With injuries hitting us once again, i'd go with this side:

            --------------- Reina ------------

            Johnson ---- Carra ---- Greek --- Skrtel ---- Kelly

            --------- Lucas -- Gerrard ---- Meireles

            --------------------- Cole --------------

            ------------------- Torres ----------

This will be a battle and hence i feel a 5 man defence is required. lets face it...who's the other players we could play?... Maxi? Jova? **** that...we can't have any passengers on Sunday.

It's obviously not the most attacking team but with Gerrard, Cole and Torres(if fit...but he will be ) all on the pitch we can defo knick a goal or two.

I don't know how you'd even consider the pub for this match dude, it's nerve-wrecking enough sitting at home watching it without worrying about all the other teams fans rubbing it in should it all go wrong for us.
Much prefer watching it at home anyway...bit of peace and quiet.
              Each to their own though.

aye - well i usually go the pub for every game(we have a few local pubs that show every match on random channels) with mates (unless home games and i'm going) but this year, certainly for the bigger games i've found myself watching them by myself - i can't take the **** anymore

Oh yeah, we still play football!

                      ------------- Reina

                      Johnson -- Carra -- Skrtel -- Kelly

                      -- Lucas -- Gerrard -- Meireles

                      -- Babel -- Torres -- Cole
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

That's where I am too. Hopefully the enthusiasm will come back, but at the moment I am just not there.

STEVEN GERRARD has dismissed claims Liverpool are in “crisis” but admits they need a big performance to kickstart their spluttering campaign.

Roy Hodgson’s side resume Premier League battle at Goodison on Sunday looking to improve on their worst start to a top-flight campaign since 1953.

A 2-1 home defeat to Blackpool in their last outing almost a fortnight ago saw Liverpool slip into the relegation zone behind neighbours and fellow strugglers Everton.

The Anfield outfit have won only one of their seven league games this season with their efforts not helped by the ongoing boardroom takeover wrangles.

But skipper Gerrard is keeping a calm approach going into the weekend derby, with Liverpool looking to win only their second away Premier League game this calendar year.

“I don’t think it’s a ‘crisis’,” said the England international. “I’m not too worried.
You should be cause we sure as hell are mate
“Obviously the league table doesn’t look too good at the moment, but we are close and I feel if we get a bit of luck going our way or we pull one big performance out the bag, We need more than one big performance, we need consistency things can improve and we can move up the table.

“I think everybody at the football club knows we need to improve things and improve results on the pitch.”

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Liverpool FC ace Fernando Torres wins his derby battle

Oct 14 2010 by Dominic King, Liverpool Echo

ROY HODGSON today delivered the pre-derby boost Liverpool supporters have been hoping for - Fernando Torres is fit to face Everton.

Torres came off after 10 minutes of the 2-1 defeat against Blackpool earlier this month and was initially rated as being doubtful for this weekend's trip to Goodison Park.

However, he has responded to treatment and like Paul Konchesky, who has been suffering with a hamstring problem, Torres has been given the green light to be included for the 214th meeting between the Reds and Blues.

"Konchesky has made a good recovery as has Fernando Torres so all being well we can welcome those two back," said Hodgson." We get two good ones back, but lose a good one in (Dirk Kuyt) Kuyt.

"Fernando's season needs to kickstart, he's been hampered a bit by injuries and what happened at the World Cup.

"We see a livelier and a better Fernando every day. It was really unfortunate he got that injury against Blackpool but luckily it came in the international break so he won't miss anymore league games for us."

Kuyt suffered ankle ligament damage playing for Holland on Tuesday night but Hodgson hopes he will be back sooner than anticipated.

"The initial rumours coming out of Holland were that it was going to be a really long injury, maybe months," Hodgson said.

"But our Doctor and our sports science people are much more optimistic. They think it is more likely to be one month - or if we are lucky three weeks.

"He seriously twisted his ankle with ligament damage and we are going to miss him for some matches that's for sure."
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
