He could have just said the lad is struggling for form and therefore is a bit low on confidence, but he has quality and is Englands first choice in his position.

I actually do not rate GJ his defensive attributes are somewhat limited at times.. I do rate his attack play and feel he'd might be better served on the wing and Kelly behind him, whom I feel is the better defender.

But back on topic: It really dosent matter what Roy personally feels about a player, he should not be demeaning to players in the public arena. It matters not if it's not the Liverpool Way, it's just not what professional people do, or shouldn't do that is.

The problem is the board and Hodgson feel it is the Internet minority who want him out, not the regular match goers. And until there is calls for his head at the ground that belief will remain the same.

At present NESV are too concerned with trying to keep the fans onside by keeping to "The liverpool way" than to risk sacking Roy. So regardless of results Roy will keep his job, again, because they think this is what the fans want.

He'll be here at the very least until the end of the season, even if we lose the next 6 games. Unless of course fans made their opinions heard at the ground, as opposed to on the net and 606 etc.
